AIBU to ask what you can never get the hang of using?

For me it's window blinds. The strings always confuse me, they flip the wrong way, or get jammed. At work I managed to pull some off the wall. We moved into a new house last week and I've already got the blinds in 2 different rooms wonky and stuck.

I'm also pretty useless with tin openers and usually have to ask for assistance.

The bloody fire. Years and years we've had a log burner for and despite being shown countless times and a gazillion YouTube videos I still can't work the bastarding thing.

I have absolutely no strength in my hands despite being pretty strong elsewhere and can never open ANYTHING - jars, ring pulls, plastic packets - it's pathetic! Also I cannot use a normal corkscrew. I literally don't even get how they work.

Making coffee in a cafetiere - always too weak or too strong. Can do Excel though

Cross trainers.

My arms and legs do not do that.

And I can't curl my hair for toffee. It looks so easy. I've watched so many tutorials. But when I go to do it myself it's always a disaster.

I'm not a huge fan of my heating controls or digital alarm clock tbh. I just press everything for endless hours until they seem to be right. I couldn't give anyone else instructions.
My dad, who I've always thought to be borderline genius, recently confessed he is at his heating controls too. Come to think of it, I do remember him messing about with it a lot when I was a kid!

It's definitely the manufacturers to blame.

Controls can be baffling.
I tend to leave to dh.

Using hair straighteners to curl my hair. Just. Can't. Make. It. Happen. Straighten- yes! Curl- no!

I have never been able to do this and I can't even do it on a calculator. Needed to get a percentage at work today so I went on Google and literally typed "what is xxx as a percentage of xxx" and it told me 😉😂

Cling film
Changing batteries in tv remotes. I struggle with basic tasks that require no brain power 😂

Make up - dont wear any except lip stick if I have to, especially eye make up - my eyes will not stay open when a pencil or brush is approaching.

Cling film and tin foil - I end up with the film stuck to itself or a really strange shaped piece of foil - thank goodness for sandwich bags!

I can open a tin of anchovies but not without the high risk of olive oil splatter (never tried a corned beef one).

I had to make big pizza boxes up ( i did have other duties) in a short lived job. Could i do them ? No. I was rubbish.,
I used to sweet talk the waitress to do them for me ! Bless them.
I think they were relieved when i left.
