... while my DD3 will move up into P4 when she returns on the 15th? And yet they appear to be the same age? Do children not start school until age eight in T and T land? Confused

I just want whatever drugs their mother is clearly taking.

AllTheWittyNamesAreGone · 02/08/2017 17:47

Dunno but Dp is convinced the manic depressive mum is shagging diy Derek

BendydickCuminsnatch · 02/08/2017 17:47

I wondered the same thing. They're clearly about 8???

BendydickCuminsnatch · 02/08/2017 17:49

Just looked it up, Toppers was 8-9 during filming. Poor casting!

BasketOfDeplorables · 02/08/2017 17:54

Are they only just starting school?! I assumed it was their new school because they've moved house. None of this others me as much as the snippet I saw the other day where Topsy wanted to help her dad wallpaper but Tom said 'can I finish loading the dishwasher?'

I only ever see a couplenof minutes at a time when the toddler finds the remote thankfully.

BarbaraBitchFace · 02/08/2017 18:05

Yes I think starting a new school rather than starting in Reception.

They are all so polite and well spoken and prim and proper and nice and lovely.

I bet the dad is just screaming inside his head.

MandateMandy · 02/08/2017 18:08

No they really were just starting reception. There is a behind the scenes prog about them and how they are actually wearing false teeth because being 7 their own teeth were falling out but their characters were obviously not supposed to be at that stage.

I reckon the whole family are on prozac.

CruCru · 02/08/2017 18:09

The actors are much older than the characters. The BBC got asked about this and said that it was because children who are actually 4/5 can't really act yet.

They are meant to be starting Reception (in earlier episodes they were still in nursery).

Tanaqui · 02/08/2017 18:10

I didn't know it was on tv -I had the books when I was little- over 40 years ago! I think they were 4-7osh then, so definitely shouldn't be starting school now!!

CruCru · 02/08/2017 18:10

The mum is so nice because she is having an affair and is wracked with guilt. That episode where they have chickenpox and no one can get hold of their mum? Clearly an affair.

StewPots · 02/08/2017 18:13

I had gotten away with watching T & T for ages thanks to Netflix & on-demand TV until today funnily enough...and my DD15 said exactly the same thing. Ridiculous.

DS3 loves it but I think it's the most utterly bland twee shite on CBeebies. Dull and irritating, and never consistent! Last one I saw prior to today that bloody mutt had died yet there he was today happy as Larry.

That mum is definitely on something. No way would she have that patient face on constantly, always ready with suggestions and twee things to do...No wonder the actress playing her buggered off to Eastenders to get murdered after having to endure that shower of shite script.

In this house, they are referred to very cruelly as Twatsy & Dim.

StewPots · 02/08/2017 18:14

Oh FFS - massive crossed out fail on my post there...that's karma for calling them Twatsy & Dim though I guess!

Betsy86 · 02/08/2017 18:17

CruCru thats so funny and true haha il never be able to watch this show the same way again haha. We have many of the dvds they are so angelic id love a episode where they just have one tantrum in tesco just one and id feel less inadequate lol

FlowerFairyLights · 02/08/2017 18:20

I want their house. Their old "too small" one would do!!

OhDearToby · 02/08/2017 18:27

I was shocked when I found out they aren't really twins!

However they have been replaced as the most annoying cbeebies actors by Bella from Apple tree house.

EastMidsMummy · 02/08/2017 18:30

They are like John Travolta and ONJ in Grease.

BasketOfDeplorables · 02/08/2017 18:33

Luckily DD doesn't like it yet so I don't have to endure. Just the odd clip winds me up.
