Done to death previously but always new members joining!

I am not famous, dont have any celebrity friends. It fascinated by what it must be like to be famous or have famous relatives or friends!

Anyone willing to spill any beans tonight to cheer me up!

My high school french teacher taught german to one of the boys in Diversity from Britain's Got Talent.
Beat that.

AmberNectarine · 03/08/2017 21:08

Babycham I was also on Countdown! This year, in fact.

Peter Andre also once touched my hand. For £20, you can touch it too.

Bunglemyjungle · 03/08/2017 21:19

Ooh I have a blue tick on twitter. Is that a thing?

NettleElf · 03/08/2017 21:19

Light I have no idea who they thought he was.

Autocat at first we thought it was that but they took no notice at all of DS2 who is blonde haired and blue eyed unlike DS1 who has brown hair and brown eyes. He obviously looked like someone since they would literally come running up squealing.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 03/08/2017 21:34

Jimmy Stewart! ... He seemed such a lovely, warm gentleman

He was Smile

It wasn't me who actually knew him, though; I was staying with someone who did and thought they were pulling my leg. So my friend drove me round to the house, and he opened the door and just stood there ... I could have died

This was in the 80's and he was older by then of course, but not so old that he couldn't serve me a glass of (home made) lemonade Smile

Hushlittleone · 03/08/2017 21:34

One of my friend's parents is a well known member of parliament, and a family friend is famous in Australia. Also close family friends with an actor who was in lots of blockbusters and several very well known BBC shows

CattyMcCatface · 03/08/2017 21:47

NettleElf you definitely win my vote! Close the thread!

MinesaPinot · 03/08/2017 21:50

I've been on BBC Radio Kent's morning show talking about how crap South Eastern Trains are...so I'm very famous. And DH was on Radio Kent saying about seeing Gloria Hunniford in Lidl's in Sevenoaks, so he's very famous too.

Equally as famous as DH and moi are Len Goodman and Martina Cole, and they both live in the village up the road.

And the late Peaches Geldof lived in the next village to us (although I didn't know that until she died and it was all in the papers).

NettleElf · 03/08/2017 22:00

Much appreciated Catty Grin

I had my photo in the Lancashire Evening Post in the late 80s, if that counts? With the baby owls I hand reared?

Fuckitletshavevino · 03/08/2017 22:29

Oh yeah I was in a boyzone magazine back in the day. I was one of those pathetic girls (still am) that loves Stephen gately. Have his autograph a couple of times. Miss those days of live and kicking

BabychamSocialist · 03/08/2017 22:47

Tom Hardy happened to go to a restaurant in our village when he was filming Peaky Blinders. We only found out when we tried to go out somewhere and found paparazzi at the end of our drive! Twats. Felt sorry for the bloke, couldn't even go out for his tea without getting papped!

Carriecakes80 · 03/08/2017 22:51

Carriecakes80 · 03/08/2017 22:55

Lol My dad and Stepdad were in the same film together lol. They were/are both Paramedics, and years ago they were asked if they would both be in a scene together as Paramedics, collecting a 'dead' body, left by the side of the road. The film was like a really rubbish 70's ( I think!) horror porno lol called Vampyres! Two lesbian Vamps lure folk into their boudoir and sort em out...!

PixelDust · 03/08/2017 23:11

My STBEH is a bit famous locally (sw scotland and edinburgh). Small time footballer who thinks he's gods gift Hmm

PeopleWatcher77 · 04/08/2017 00:35

Really interesting thread! I must admit, if I were to see someone famous my first thought would be to leave them be as I assume they'd likely prefer it that way, and I'm far too shy to just walk up to a famous type stranger and talk to them anyway! -Not counting those who have a hissy if they are NOT recognized!-
Celebs include:
Alan Carr - saw him on our local beach promenade chatting to someone, however we didn't talk to him and instead were admiring his two beautiful dogs who were playing nearby!
Tony Scannell (DS Ted Roach from The Bill) opened an event at my school once.
A girl at my school went on to be an actress in the States and appeared in the movie The Fifth Element.
Oh, and dd recently met Sir Robert Winston when he did a talk at her primary school. She informed me that he is the man who helps ladies have babies....

PeopleWatcher77 · 04/08/2017 00:52

Oh and wayyyyy back when I was both very young (about 3 maybe) and very blonde, I was taken to a live show with wrestlers Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks. Due to having glowing almost white hair like him, Big Daddy picked me up and stuck his glittery huge hat on me. Tis but a distant memory these days but a good one. Grin

PinkPomeranian · 04/08/2017 05:49

I remember reading a post in a FB group for local mums in which the poster crowed about changing her baby on the back seat of a cab and, upon being appropriately bollocked by the driver, chucking the dirty nappy out of the window right in the face of a cyclist. Besides the revolting (and obviously fictional) tale and twatty attitude of the poster, I was really struck by the sycophantic replies from people saying how hilarious it was, wasn't she edgy, etc. etc. It was only a year or two later when died tragically young, leaving behind two small children, and admin announced her passing to the group that I realised that the poster was a celeb posting under an assumed name. The sycophants had obviously met her at their coffee groups and knew who she was when posting. Must be shit to be surrounded by phoneys all the time.

Having said all that, I would obviously love any celebs to out themselves here immediately and dish the dirt on any nasty so and sos who don't deserve to be cherished by the nation...
