@AuntyElle, and a comma before OP, too, strictly speaking. Since we're apparently here to discuss correct grammar. Grin

Is this a sketch from Catherine Tate

I'd reply asking if her phone had been stolen.
No sure how you could be friends with someone with this attitude.

acapellagirl · 02/08/2017 05:02

Flowersandfootballs I wouldn't be concerned about husbands cheating comments as she's clearly only saying it for effect

acapellagirl · 02/08/2017 05:02

OP I've had similar 'friends'. Cutting them out of my lifewas empowering

coffeekittens · 02/08/2017 06:02

Cut her out of your life OP she sounds unstable, and start using sentences. Have a wonderful day Smile

Evangeline3 · 02/08/2017 06:47

Perhaps she's infertile. 🤷‍♀️

hippyhippyshake · 02/08/2017 07:25

She sounds like a female version of Smithy from Gavin and Stacey! Completely insecure and can only see the world in terms of her own needs. To be pitied really. Move on, but I can't see her going quietly!

SeaWitchly · 02/08/2017 07:39

But the OPs posts are really hard to read due to lack of punctuation!
I have also failed to read her updates as it's making my eyes and brain hurt.
Sorry, don't normally police posters use of punctuation or lack thereof but I think it's worth pointing out to the OP that she may get more replies to her dilemma if she considers the readability of her posts!

BillyDaveysDaughter · 02/08/2017 07:54

The lack of punctuation makes it difficult, but not impossible to read! Just mentally insert commas as you read...

Anyway, the "friend" sounds damaged and extremely unhappy - and lacks the self control, self awareness and don't-be-a-dick filter that normal human beings apply to conversation.

However, being desperately unhappy and trying to justify to herself why her life is so different to that of her friends, is no defence for being vile and it doesn't soften what she said. Unfortunately you may have to step slowly away, she will only bring you down. Let her sort herself out.

Flatt7 · 02/08/2017 07:59

It honestly sounds like some 10 year old borrowed the phone.

Mittens1969 · 02/08/2017 09:22

I think it must be a case of the phone having been taken by someone else, or she has to have mental health problems. TBH it sounds as if she might always have had them. You say she was lovely, but that may have only because you let her have everything her way.

inkzooka · 02/08/2017 09:33

I don't think it's fair to call it jealousy of having a kid, but...christ. I'm childfree and it's NEVER an excuse to hate on women's bodies.

Imamouseduh · 02/08/2017 09:42

Well she sounds a bit thick so no big loss, I'm sure.

Mittens1969 · 02/08/2017 11:22

No, I don't think she's at all jealous of the OP having a kid, she's jealous of the kid, totally different! She's vying for the OP's attention! Shock

ambereeree · 02/08/2017 11:32

Are you both quite young OP? It sounds like she's jealous your life has moved on.

Nonicknamenonickname · 02/08/2017 12:45

Would you say 27 is young. And she's not infertile she could have children, I wouldn't of told her if she was and her phone wasnt stolen as i spoke to her 5 minutes after the text.

Thinkingofausername1 · 02/08/2017 13:24

Is ask her if she has thought about going to see a counsellor to express her feelings
