Can highly recommend a "ring" video doorbell, records all movements within a 180 degree radius of the camera onto their cloud, but also lets you speak through it to people, they have a motion sensor surveillance camera that you can get with a solar panel, maybe worth considering and then you would have evidence of trespass and an obvious detterent.

You can hear and speak to anyone it picks up, you could be like the wizard of oz, shouting at them from behind your curtains if they dare enter :)

Also @WhatIsThisWatt try getting legal fees paid via your home insurance as I'm pretty sure this type of issue would be covered and you've got a cast iron case so it would mean a lot less financial stress for you?

gingergenius its a long steel bar we use in concrete house foundations in New Zealand, but in Watts case 2 fence posts might even work, it was just what i was thinking i would do, or 4 posts and 1 piece of ply wood ... wall ___

Just a thought, you say you knocked on the shitty doors, it's so minor vs all the other considerations but I think I'd be inclined to keep any further conversations if they happen through the REAL door rather than the one they've so wrongly installed. I'd not be treating it like it can ever BE a door as it is into your private space. If you see what i mean?
