AIBU to think I'm a bloody wimp? Gone back to work and almost done in!

I have worked very part time in a home based job for over 9 years now. In that time I've not worked in a job which needed me to leave the house at all.

Now for various reasons I've got a part time job in a pretty relaxed environment and did my first shift today...I'm knackered! Standing up for 5 hours without a break has almost done me in!

I am only 44 but I feel about 70!

How long will it take to get used to it please? I can barely feel my knees and the small of my back is agony! Stupid shoes I wore...

I'd get your self a pair of sketchers Go Walks. I use them at work. I'm on my feet for four hrs shifts with no sitting down. It will take you a few days to get used to it, but decent footwear is a must.

I can't wear sketchers...I have to look "stylish" :(

I have moved from part time work to full time work. Along with housework and everything else, I found it really hard going. It will get easier, I promise. But try and buy as comfy shoes that meet the dress code, as possible. It really makes a difference.

Also I am in my mid 50s. Whatever younger people say, you do get more tired as you get older. So take that into account. You won't find it as easy as you would have at 20.

Thanks....I'll go shoe shopping tomorrow I think! DH has stepped up to more housework which is everything!
