Moving out tomorrow and feeling stressed - how to pack last few things?!

Hi everyone.

This is such a ridiculous AIBU to post (sorry!) but I just need a good talking-to.

I'm moving out of my flat on Monday, so a relative has very kindly offered to come over tomorrow with their car to pick up my last few things. They came last week to pick up some things already, so it's mostly done. Now, all I've got left are clothes and random miscellaneous things really.

At the moment, my room is in an absolute state. There are clothes hanging on a drying rack, clothes half-unpacked from a suitcase (came back from holiday yesterday) and random things that I'm not quite sure how to sort.

Any tips please?

Thanks :)

Wet things and dryer are last in, first out. Stick them outside asap to air.

You need sleep too or you'll be useless tomorrow.

Set a time limit now...2 hours more tonight for instance. Sort and neatly pack your clothes and anything else within that time limit.

THEN when you've done your 2 hours of 'decent' packing and have had a guts full, get boxes or a roll of black bags, grab handfuls of stuff and fling it all in to sort out at the other end.

Eurgh I was the same last month, didn't think it would take too long for the last few bits, oh how wrong I was! I chucked everything left over in bin bags, still struggling to find random things now! 😂 if they really don't go with everything else pack them together labelled miscellaneous and make a point to sort it as one of the first boxes, I spent a good few hours looking for my draining rack for the dishes! Don't stress about it too much, as long as you know where your kettle is, take your time and good luck!

Don't unpack the holiday suitcase. Cram some more clothes in there.

The rest in bin bags and boxes..

All can be sorted in your new place.

Drying rack and clothes last in, first out.

Oh yea, and kettle and tea bags/koffie/milk etc. box separate and first into the new house Smile

Beware of putting things in binbags! They frequently get put in bins.
