Late 90's, early 2000s.

British band (from the south) Punk/industrial/rock.

I am pretty sure the song title is 'Generation X'. Lyrics include 'Generation's grown up'

Have googled so much over the years. Only comes up with the old band Generation X.

If someone could find it for me I would be forever grateful.

Challenge accepted?

Is it D generation X by Rage Against the Machine?

Can't link on my phone but it's on YouTube.

TheIncredibleBookEatingManchot · 29/07/2017 19:01

Oh, just read your OP properly. Probably not RATM then.

I got so excited thinking I had managed to solve it.

MoMandaS · 29/07/2017 19:09

Stealth not Lucie Silvas? She was a bit later and think she might be blonde but she popped into my head with your mention of Shakira.

Fixmylife · 29/07/2017 19:15

Wycliffe Jean - Generation X

QueenMorpheacadoChamelepen · 29/07/2017 19:15

Throwing out X Generation by Pennywise. Not British though.

Fixmylife · 29/07/2017 19:15

I reckon Lemon D

HoneyDragon · 29/07/2017 20:37

I can only find a remix though

Flisspaps · 29/07/2017 20:45

At least you're after a proper song.

DH and I have spent the last 2 weeks trying to remember the name of a band that were on Nick Jr briefly in the last 7 years, 4 blokes in Sgt Pepperesque outfits, singing songs about shit like ladders whilst doing Chuckle Brother type moves. Two of the band got their own show for 1 series after.

IcingSausage · 29/07/2017 21:38

I've got one that's been bugging me all day if anyone can help!

Travelling around New Zealand in 2009/2010 this guitar based poppy song was on all the time - male singer in a band, chorus was something to do with mothers?!

IcingSausage · 29/07/2017 21:38

(It was super cheesy, don't judge!)

StealthPolarBear · 29/07/2017 22:02

Icing rizzle kicks mama do the hump?

@StealthPolarBear

Could yours be Ain't No Love Ain't No Use by SubSub? Mid 90s I think, and the lady had two big plaits. She's not in front of a waterfall but the background is blue, so it looks a bit water-y !

lessworriedaboutthecat · 29/07/2017 22:07

Sorry I thought you meant the most difficult song ever as in disturbing.

GirlInTheDirtyShirt · 29/07/2017 22:08

Is it Generation XTC by East 17? g.co/kgs/dc45GF

StealthPolarBear · 29/07/2017 22:09

No definition not treacle I know the song you mean
Much more... Surreal. Can't think how to describe it. All earth and universe and hippyish

StealthPolarBear · 29/07/2017 22:10

I think op has something lore heavy in mind than east 17

lessworriedaboutthecat · 29/07/2017 22:11

Sorry I misread the op. I thought she was looking for a difficult punk song and posted the most difficult one I could think of to help. I have reported my post. And I apologize.

StealthPolarBear · 29/07/2017 22:12

And if we're talking about disturbing surely some of the 'foetus' name changes are right up there

StealthPolarBear · 29/07/2017 22:13

Don't be silly less.
