Especially in relation to cleaning.

It started raining and I said to a colleague "oh no, and I've left my washing out" whilst being a little annoyed it wouldn't be dry by the time I got home.

She said, "oh dear now you have to wash it all again!"

Really? Is that the done thing? Do I have to rewash washing if it rains on it? I have never even considered doing this my whole life!

And I've got another friend who can't leave the washing in the machine for more than an hour before hanging it, if it's been longer than that she rewashes it.

I on the other hand can but the machine on at night and hang it in the morning. I've never noticed anything smelling.

Am I gross?

I have a friend who accidentally put washing on a 2 hour cycle instead of a 30 minute cycle at 11pm so she stayed up until 1am so she could hang it. I admit I was very incredulous when she told me! My machine has a timer on so I can make sure it finishes as I'm getting up but I really can't be that precious about it

fine as long as it doesn't get darked on
I was just about to post the same comment.

washing thats been rained on always seems to be extra soft

emilybrontescorset · 28/07/2017 16:05

My mum used to say rain water makes washing soft.

cakesandphotos you'd think she'd just hit cancel and reset it Confused. Staying up for a washing machine, that's dedication I really really don't have.

Heavy torrential rain might mean my clothes will get thrown back in for a spin, but rarely. But I'm not a domestically inclined individual.

Yep, some people are nuts. Pop over to the current washing thread in housekeeping and you will understand why global warming is a thing.
