Can you just give a little explanation please.

VladmirsPoutine · 27/07/2017 22:47

The ad criticising Tory voters' attitudes rather than the Tories themselves.

A rather good tactic I think and I'm no fan of momentum.

Fruitcorner123 · 27/07/2017 22:54

YANBU for thinking this is spot on.

I don't see why momentum are so bad though.

Thanks for sharing the video

AddToBasket · 27/07/2017 22:58

The video is designed to 'other' the people in it and make you not want to be like them. It is basically an 'us' and 'them' video. It is divisive.

BMW6 · 27/07/2017 23:25

What a wankery pile of shite that was.

I have voted for all 3 main parties, depending on the situation of the UK at the time and for the foreseeable future (well as much as you can).

I hope that this pile of crap gets posted to FB etc many many times in the hope that it reveals Momentum to be the peurile mob of cack handed juvenile wankers that they are.

How To Lose Votes for Labour. Way to go Momentum, way to go. Fuckers.

BabychamSocialist · 27/07/2017 23:33

I think it's a great video. I don't understand floating voters like BMW6 - Don't people generally have a set of principles they stick to? How can you vote for three diametrically opposed parties if you have a certain set of principles?

IvorHughJarrs · 27/07/2017 23:41

Imagine if the Tories did an anti-Labour one showing one person who was voting for them because they'll get more benefits, one who wants a free university education, etc, you'd claim it was lazy and discriminatory as is this.

I don't like it, it is just a rehashing of the stereotype of privileged Tories whereas a lot of people who voted Conservative didn't get a university education, do not have home worth over a million or have companies funded by family. I think it is lazy and simplistic

ScoutPup · 27/07/2017 23:48

It's not really that strange to be a floating voter.

People look at the manifesto and the issues they feel strongest about and vote accordingly.

I've always voted Labour historically for example but I won't be voting for a hard Brexit because I think that's too important.

MargaretTwatyer · 27/07/2017 23:54

I think that really patronises the people it's aimed at.

Especially considering the house price boom happened under Labour, Labour abolished student grants and Labour are notorious nepotists.

Ijustwantaquietlife · 28/07/2017 07:36

Isn't the point that TB wasn't really labour?

What like the BBC, Daily Fail, The S*n and Torygraph?

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 28/07/2017 07:51

Oh of course all Tory voters have been born with silver spoons in their mouths while all labour voters are salt of the earth hard workers

Just pandering to the rather simplistic divisive view of politics that sadly has become the left
populist Labour politics under Corbyn, McDonnell and Momentum

Still lead to another 5 years of Tory leadership and will be another in 2022 if they are still in control of Labour Party

BuggerLumpsAnnoyed · 28/07/2017 07:51

The Tories don't have to as all the major papers do it for them

makeourfuture · 28/07/2017 08:27

Because Tory Ideology is that of greed and hatred and a terrible Social Darwinism. NEO FUEDALISM. The rich get richer the poor suffer and die.

makeourfuture · 28/07/2017 08:28

And also it doesn't work.

makeourfuture · 28/07/2017 08:29

Tories want us to have our hats in hand, eyes downward.

Awful. And destroying out nation.

makeourfuture · 28/07/2017 08:32

Corrupt too. All this Tory Debt funelled into the pockets of the rich.

Alltheprettyseahorses · 28/07/2017 08:37

It's more than a tad hypocritical, particularly given the nepotism at the top of Labour right now.

Nothing wrong with being a floating voter. I found it shocking that the Tories actually presented a more socially progressive manifesto than Labour this year. And is it really Labour atm, with its focus on giveaways to the rich at the direct expense of poor people and its total lack of interest in addressing poverty? If, as PP said, there is meant to be an implication that Blair wasn't Labour, then it underlines how his government's incredible practical achievements eg getting 600,000 children and 1 million pensioners out of poverty, that kind of thing, is not Labour's aim any more.
