So are the tyres back? What words?

Cookiesandcake · 27/07/2017 13:49

We need more details. Did you actually take the tires? What did cfn say was he still sticking by his point of not being in the wrong? Don't leave us hanging lol

Mix56 · 27/07/2017 13:50

Did he have to replace 3 tyres?, or did you give them back ?
You should still report them for parking issues in yr neighbourhood & please tell me you are getting a bollard !

AlphaBites · 27/07/2017 13:51

As soon as I got home I then went to CFN's house, as reasonably I know it would only escalate.

CFN comes to the door and I ask to speak to CFNE, they then come out effing and blinding about their car and the wheels.

SWN hears the yelling and comes out of her house. CFN then starts on HER for blocking the road last night, and other stuff that nothing to do with me but I can see now why SNW has got involved in so easily.

I then ask why they have been parking on my drive for so long to be told by CFN - "You're not using it during the day, so why the fuck not ? Plus I can't use any more visitor permit parking." Not my problem and I explain that. CFN then drops herself in it by saying "Clients have been parking there for ages, so what is the harm."

I then see red but CFNE starts squealing about his car, and 'he knows people'. CFN tells him to SFTU.

Conversation then moves to "We have both been unreasonable etc and car can be moved this afternoon.

Parting shot from CFN was "OK, no more parking but clients to still drop off."

I went to say something but let it go as it would only esculate AGAIN.

Shamelessly place marking...

back to installing bollards I then! can't use it for drop off if they can't get on it!

AlphaBites · 27/07/2017 13:54

So we'll be putting a bollard in as soon as we can, we aren't allowed to out gates up (on the deeds) but this has just shown there is no reasoning with this fuckwit.

I haven't done anything online foe their business as well as I think that's probably a step too far. Posting about it on here is one thing but I won't name names on the business pages.

EmpressOfTheSpartacusOceans · 27/07/2017 13:54

In which case you definitely need penguin bollards. Or a chain. Just something that will make your driveway inaccessible.

acatcalledjohn · 27/07/2017 13:54

Wow. I'd be installing bollards pronto. Let their business take the hit of a lack of parking.

DooRight · 27/07/2017 13:55

"OK, no more parking but clients to still drop off."

They still haven't got it, have they..?

Bollards, Chains - whatever it takes ..

Somebody needs to lock the gates at CF Land - before anymore of them get out (New neighbour using my private garden..)

  • whatever next..?
Esspee · 27/07/2017 13:55

Wonder if clients dropping off are expected to park in your driveways OP?

Mix56 · 27/07/2017 13:55

actually even if you get a bollard or gate, they will park across your entrance, so make sure you pur exactly on the outside limit of your property,
if s/he had simply asked you might have authorised it. Tossers !

Coffeeandcakeplease16 · 27/07/2017 13:55

So their clients will still use your drive??! Oh hell no!
I'm with the others it's time for the march of the penguins!

Nellysmagichat · 27/07/2017 13:56

So are the wheels back on the car? And if not surely the car is going to be there for a while yet as the vehicle owner needs to get replacements fitted (which is going to cost around £200 per wheel, I'd estimate, depending on the type of vehicle).

DigitalGhost · 27/07/2017 13:58

Lol how have you both been unreasonable? They've been using YOUR drive. Put the bollards up immediately as this is just going to continue once you're back at work.

Lweji · 27/07/2017 13:58

I'd be smiling at their annoyance.

Why will the car be gone this afternoon?
Do the thieves need to return the tyres/wheels?

I wouldn't put them back on, just by the car.

Cookiesandcake · 27/07/2017 14:02

Definitely bollards it's the only way to stop them. What cf's, it's your property. Would they be happy if they left their front door unlocked when they went out and you were Sat on their sofa having a brew. Well they weren't using it.... Lol

gingergenius · 27/07/2017 14:03

Ok so now you have an admission that the CFNs business is causing a little cal nuisance OP. Now you go to the council, along with as many other neighbours as will participate, and you make it clear that the traffic issues are causing a problem. They will investigate and quite possibly EXPECT CFN to relocate to commercial premises. I've seen this happen with a childminding business that grew and the CM had to find commercial premises to operate from.

choccoffeegeek · 27/07/2017 14:03

Tell her you will be sending her an invoice for wear and tear to your driveway over the last x years. Or say it needs resurfacing so you assume she's happy to contribute

HurtyTeeth · 27/07/2017 14:04

Yeah, tbh they sound ill mannered and rough and they've demonstrated their word isn't to be trusted.
Install what you can to prevent drive access from now on. At least then there'll be no cause for piss taking and escalations.

1sttime84 · 27/07/2017 14:05

I still think you should report them to whoever you can as clearly their premises cannot support their business.
CFN sounds like a complete tw4t. Would never even dream of using someone else's driveway.

SnickersWasAHorse · 27/07/2017 14:06

The utter cheek. Bitching because you don't want people parking on your property.

Also, shall I change my name to Shovelly Joe or Jiminy Billy Bob.

Lweji · 27/07/2017 14:07

This chain barrier.

Ideally, it would be kept down and would go up automatically when a car passes it, so it would block in any trespassers.
You'd recoup the cost of installing it with a release fee.

Lunde · 27/07/2017 14:09

Install a chain and padlock at once - the entitlement of these people is astounding
