Wtf? They won't move the car now ? !

TheMaddHugger · 27/07/2017 13:20

I am very glad this will be resolved by the end of the day
(((((((Hugs))))))

Articu · 27/07/2017 13:23

I'd be very worried about repercussions Confused

Not sure how the wheels were taken off and how the car was jacked up but I'd be worried about damage to the car and also worried the car wasn't secure and could collapse to the floor.

If you were jacking up your own car then using decent jacks would be sort of ok but I presume as these wheels were stolen the thieves used whatever was lying around. Blocks of wood would be likely to cause less damage to the car than bricks.

...Because many wheels are over tightened by garages using air guns then often a considerably amount of force has to be used to loosen the nuts when you are using a wrench. I've had to use my body weight and cafefully stand on the end of the wrench in the past Blush. Anyway, what this means is that unless the car is carefully supported and secured removing more than one wheel at a time is quite hazardous UNLESS you are very careful.

ohfourfoxache · 27/07/2017 13:24

Hope they've got the message now and that it doesn't happen again

DevilsDumplings · 27/07/2017 13:24

Read with excitement and trepidation. Thought the outcome would involve bloodshed and damaged property. Glad it's been resolved so quietly but disappointed there were no fireworks so to speak Grin

gingergenius · 27/07/2017 13:25

And then install bollards and chains OP! Cheeky Fuckerism in the extreme!

Articu · 27/07/2017 13:25

Sorry x posted

WeAllHaveWings · 27/07/2017 13:26

Dragon obviously they cant move now, they have to go buy new tyres still.........Hmm

OP I hope you realise your dh could have damaged the car removing the tyres and putting on bricks, warping the drums etc, and is a serious safety issue.

Still no pics.............(and very little details)

MimsyFluff · 27/07/2017 13:28

Op where do you live? I so though tyres been stolen was a joke Blush maybe they don't steal from their own patch 😂

teaandakitkat · 27/07/2017 13:29

HelenRose I totally want a Billy bollard. They would scare the shit out of anyone on a dark night.

Yesbutnobutmaybe · 27/07/2017 13:32

What words??? You can't just say words!!

MandateMandy · 27/07/2017 13:33

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 27/07/2017 13:34

Well - I am glad the car is getting moved.

HouseOfGoldandBones · 27/07/2017 13:35

...

justilou · 27/07/2017 13:35

Wouldn't it be fab if the three tyres were returned and they fit your trailer?

drspouse · 27/07/2017 13:36

Definitely a case for all your friends writing stuff on CFN's business FB page.

Hissy · 27/07/2017 13:36

Alpha we are going to need more info on 'the words'

moggle · 27/07/2017 13:40

We need the details OP!

Nellysmagichat · 27/07/2017 13:46

Saw CFN and CFNE once I got home and there were words, it started off heated (as expected), resulting in shift worker neighbour coming out and getting involved as well but it has got to a mutual point

So will the stolen wheels miraculously be restored to the vehicle? Cos that's a tricky detail to navigate in terms of this 'mutual point' Confused

(I don't know what is meant by 'mutual point' ~ 'mutually agreed resolution'? It's all a but fudgey, I guess the escalating drama of the alleged wheel theft backed the story into a cul-de-sac)
