Settling in with Wine always makes more fun!

Windbeneathmybingowings · 27/07/2017 12:47

I'm just sitting here wondering why the employee didn't have RAC cover or similar. Too practically minded, me. They'd have come out and fixed the battery last night if it was indeed true!

HelenRose1111 · 27/07/2017 12:49

Just a thought, when all this is over OP will need to secure both driveways to avoid repeat of this saga.....I give you....

Seriously!?? You realise this is most definitely a 3rd world problem

Honkey do you mean 1st world?!

CotswoldStrife · 27/07/2017 12:53

My local paper has run an article on their website about parking on someone else's drive being a civil matter and hard to sort out - I wonder where they got the idea from Hmm

Honkyzeke · 27/07/2017 12:55

DerelictWreck

😂😂 oh dear yes 1st world problem! damn autocorrect!! Grr! 😂😂

ShmooBooMoo · 27/07/2017 12:57

I would normally be in the 'two wrongs don't make a right' camp. But not this time. The disregard and utter contempt CFN and CFNE have shown OP means they deserve everything that's coming to them. You can reason with arrogant or stupid. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire...this is one of those times!

RozencrantzThe1st · 27/07/2017 13:00

Parking here

Nousernameforme · 27/07/2017 13:03

Not saying it's not deserved just that its a bit risky

lmer · 27/07/2017 13:03

BrewCake just waiting for more updates

ZigZagIntoTheBlue · 27/07/2017 13:04

I've read 6 pages and there was no update Angry

Jaxhog · 27/07/2017 13:04

Is it just me, or has this story taken a turn for the bizzare?

prh47bridge · 27/07/2017 13:05

therefore the crime of stolen tyres would not have happened

No but, in addition to the crime of interfering with a vehicle as suggested by a previous poster, the crime of immobilising a vehicle without lawful authority may have been committed. I suspect the police wouldn't want to get involved but you never know.

You realise this is most definitely a 3rd world problem

No, it is a first world problem. Third world problems are much more serious.

timeisnotaline · 27/07/2017 13:06

Two wrongs seem fine to me here. The police won't get involved.

SheSaidHeSaid · 27/07/2017 13:07

Shameless placemarking for when the OP returns.

Jussayingisall · 27/07/2017 13:08

Wow. Really mnhq is all I can say.

AlpacaPicnic · 27/07/2017 13:08

Tyre/wheel theft is a growing problem...
My friend drove a P.O.S. escort but it had boy racer alloys on it - worth more than the car funnily enough. Came out one day - car on bricks, wheels gone. He replaced them with something less 'stealy'

FuzzyCustard · 27/07/2017 13:08

Parking on this thread. Tyres till firmly in place.

SheSaidHeSaid · 27/07/2017 13:14

Don't most cars nowadays have locking wheelnuts to stop theft?

justilou · 27/07/2017 13:17

You know, I am fairly sure that our neighbours and I have been hearing the sounds of poor doggies howling and screaming in pain! The local news would love to hear about that time last week when you mentioned our CFN putting several strangely shaped, black garbage bags in the boot of the car on your drive and money changing hands. It looks like the CFN is linked to criminals who steal pet dogs as bait for illegal dog-fighting rings...... twitter, PETA, SPCA, Animal Welfare, Tax Dept, police and bloody Wikileaks are all over this (after you contact them)

SpottedGingham · 27/07/2017 13:18

...and the runaway train came down the track and she blew she blew...

This is codswallop. It may have been true at the beginning but it's sheer Enid Blyton now.

AlphaBites · 27/07/2017 13:18

Saw CFN and CFNE once I got home and there were words, it started off heated (as expected), resulting in shift worker neighbour coming out and getting involved as well but it has got to a mutual point.

Car will be gone by this afternoon.

CFN is a right fucking bell end is all I can say.

Can't believe someone stole the tyres. Such a shame 🤣
