Now is time to phone the police, but more importantly, the council as the business is now causing parking issues on the road and that is not acceptable. :(

SnickersWasAHorse · 31/07/2017 12:49

Hurrah for DH and Big Fuck Off chain.

Mix56 · 31/07/2017 12:51

The problem will be that historically they have been told this is fine. they will all keep doing it until they have been corrected, (this could take months) you can also buy online for peanuts, PRIVATE, no parking, no stopping type sign & put it on a pole at your entrance.
Also, I suggest that if they do have a fb page, you post, that the 2 drives that these people used are private & will be OUT OU USE, due to constant abuse & fuckwittery of CFN
I still maintain it wold be worth it for his business to pay for use of one drive

BlahBlahSaidSquish · 31/07/2017 12:52

Wow what an arsehole. He's obviously told his customers to park on your drive.
Chain and drop bollard needed, you can get the ones that lay flat and lock upright.

SnickersWasAHorse · 31/07/2017 12:54

I agree that it's not the fault of the customers as they have been told they can use it.

However I wouldn't be entering into any kind of drive rental agreement. What happens if you change jobs or are off sick and need to use the drive. They could complain that you have broken the agreement.

Seeline · 31/07/2017 12:58

HAs the business got planning permission?

THat really is your first step. If it has there should be conditions on the permission restricting the scope of the business, so check that.
If not - it needs it. Businesses can only operate from home if there is no impact on neighbouring properties. If it has got to the stage of having employees, it is too big. Can you try and keep a record of the number of clients visiting each day - that would help too. Speak to the planning enforcement officer at the Council, and also contact your local councillors.

AlphaBites · 31/07/2017 12:59

Under no circumstances will we ever rent our driveway out to this shit.

Besides which we have two cars and need full access anyway !

DH has said he has installed the chain and is now awaiting the next CFNC (Cheeky Fucker Neighbour Customer) 😀

HSMMaCM · 31/07/2017 13:01

Has he chained both drives ?

gingergenius · 31/07/2017 13:05

Hurrah for Mr AlphaBites!

AlphaBites · 31/07/2017 13:05

No as his car is in the other drive and it's a large 4x4.

Hortonlovesahoo · 31/07/2017 13:11

I can't believe that so many customers would choose your drive "spontaneously". He's told them to go there. Well done to your DH and his chain! Is it positioned to stop them even being able to park?

Lostinaseaofbubbles · 31/07/2017 13:17

I fear the chain will just lead to them parking across the drive instead...

I hope this gets sorted.

TuddlesAndSisses · 31/07/2017 13:19

Can you call up and pretend to book your dog in and see what they say about parking?

BlahBlahSaidSquish · 31/07/2017 13:23

Good idea Tuddles

FidgetWidget · 31/07/2017 13:25

TuddlesAnd Sisses Now, that's a jolly good idea! Don't forget to record the call (for training purposes, of course).

HoneyIshrunktheBiscuit · 31/07/2017 13:30

CFN seems to be harassing you now

Flamingosarepink · 31/07/2017 13:31

This is no way co incidence. CFN obviously tells his customers to park there. I just cannot believe the fucking cheek of it.
I would be photographing and gathering as much evidence as possible and take tbis as far as i could.
You might need to get those white lines painted across your driveways to stop CFNE and cusomers blicking your drivewsys or parking like twats!
Im furious for you.

Flamingosarepink · 31/07/2017 13:34

Also get one of these on both driveways.

PurityOfChaos · 31/07/2017 14:18

If you allow a customer to park, put the chain across and refuse to let them out for a hour or two, the CFN would soon stop telling them to park on your drive.

SheSaidHeSaid · 31/07/2017 14:30

Good news about the chain. Hope the cheeky fuckers don't take bolt cutters to it one night though as they have the brass neck to do something like that.

Jedimum1 · 31/07/2017 14:40

Well done on the chain! If CFN and CFNCs start blocking the road from now on, they will certainly be in trouble! Take pics of that, I'd necessary, as it might make the council revise the conditions for his business' permit thing.

gingergenius · 31/07/2017 14:42

@SheSaidHeSaid that would be criminal damage and therefore a police matter.

SheSaidHeSaid · 31/07/2017 15:03

True ginger but they'll likely deny it and there will be no evidence it was them.

mothertruck3r · 31/07/2017 15:04

Report CFNE to HMRC as well if he is being an arsehole.

KingPrawnOkay · 31/07/2017 15:33

I'm far too invested in this thread. PLEASE leave some hints so we can find their Facebook business page Grin
