CFN has declared war...
What an arsehole Angry

celebrityskin · 28/07/2017 20:30

🍷📍....

Cakeorchocolate · 28/07/2017 20:33

Don't know how you kept your cool op. I'd have been fuming if they did that after all of the previous couple of days antics. They're trying to run a business from a residential property, they should be doing everything they can to apologise and keep the peace. Short sighted. Hope you got back onto the council if they were longer than 2 hours and are keeping records of everything now too.

TuttiFruttiCutie · 28/07/2017 20:41

If you have enough room in front or behind and it's possible to gather a few allies.... bounce CFNs car a few feet out the way. I hear your pain- have been a victim of this type of thing before but this trumps mine 100 x over!

nailslikeknives · 28/07/2017 20:45

Thank goodness I've found you, lovely parking thread! Phew!

FanwankTheAbsurd · 28/07/2017 20:46

OP, I think it might be time for you to name the CFN business. If he wants to play silly games MN is behind you.

WelshMoth · 28/07/2017 20:47

Oh heck OP.
I'd go down the calm and calculated route - document everything. Photos, the lot.

somewhereovertherain · 28/07/2017 20:52

Fire safety's another one you can report him to bet he doesn't have a fire risk assessment.

waterlily200 · 28/07/2017 20:55

Hi I know you said he had permission to run a business from home but the fact he has employees would breach this if it was considered ancillary to the dwelling house. As with employees it's a change of use in planning terms and not ancillary. I would 100% contact your planning department about this.

If however u find by some miracle he does have consent for a change of use then he no longer benefits from the permitted development rights other homeowners do as it is no long a dwelli g house in the eyes of planning. So any alteration to the external fabric of the property wpuld require planning consent. So it would be worrg keeping an eye out.

Good luck and dont stand for any nonsense you are in the right.

BoneyBackJefferson · 28/07/2017 20:59

Does the vehicle blocking your drive have the business information on it?

if so more pictures for the business interfering with the neighbours.

teediebellsmum · 28/07/2017 21:13

wow. Some people are just utter arseholes aren't they. CFN is queen/king of arseholes.

Groovee · 28/07/2017 21:20

Photographs. If you can get dates and times on them will help.

DontChewMonkey · 28/07/2017 21:37

I honestly can't believe this (the cheek not doubting it's true)

AlphaBites · 28/07/2017 21:50

I've taken pictures again and emailed the local council too. Phoned again to the council but "Nothing we can do now. Take pictures and email it all in and we'll see what we can do Monday." Fucking useless ! 😡

AlphaBites · 28/07/2017 21:51

The car did move but we have moved our own car over drive so CFN can't park there again. 😠

Elland · 28/07/2017 21:52

The cheek of some people!

Cuppaoftea · 28/07/2017 21:55

Get it towed and deposited outside the neighbours house. Perfectly legal, no damage to their car, your drive is clear for the weekend.

Knock and inform them where their vehicle is and that you'll move it every time until they leave your private drive entrances clear.

EyeRollChampion · 28/07/2017 21:56

Hopefully she'll get an ASBO. I know you're all nice and patient and stuff but seriously, piss all over their online presence. Most clients would look elsewhere, fewer dick heads to park on your drive.

Elland · 28/07/2017 21:58

Name and shame and hopefully the Daily Fail will report on it.

twisterinyogapants · 28/07/2017 22:05

Do they have a business Facebook page ? I would write in it to say no clients are to park on or block your drive and it is being felt with, with the council and 111.

NEMSparkle · 28/07/2017 22:07

Can you buy a wheel clamp from Halfords or something and clamp it if they do it again? If it's parked on private property surely you can then charge them to remove it!

scootinFun · 28/07/2017 22:08

😟 have you bought bollards?

Ladymadness · 28/07/2017 22:18

CFN is really trying it ! I'd be going mad honestly. Another one for the penguin bollards 🐧🐧🐧 although it pisses me off that you would have to buy them just because your CFN is disgustingly self entitled Angry hope all works out well for you op x

Theycalledmethewildrose · 28/07/2017 22:19

OP buy bollards. Let them or the clients drive into your drive and when they do, put up the bollards and leave their car there for days!

HidingUnderARock · 28/07/2017 22:20

They shouldn't have the sort of business that increases parking in a road like the one you describe. The council need to re-evaluate the permission in the light of the parking problems.

Keep informing the council of every parking infraction caused by their business, but don't expect that to get results on its own. Instead speak to your local councilor, and get your neighbours to do the same, or to write. Make sure at least one of you speaks to them in person. They will then ask the council department about complaints they have received. So you need both to get action.
The verifiable fact that the business owner isn't even trying to behave responsibly about parking will go a long way.
