If you really wanted to escalate the war, you could accidentally drop something from an upstairs window. (but let's not go there - just reveling in the idea)

UnicornSparkles1 · 28/07/2017 16:17

What a dickhead. I hope they get closed down for having inadequate parking facilities.

m4rdybum · 28/07/2017 16:32

Shameless placemarking.

I would be badgering the council non-stop now - it's obvious that everyone in the close has major issue with the business activities, and it's not suitable to run a business from your house if you can't provide parking.

gingergenius · 28/07/2017 16:34

As others have said, log it, photograph it and report it. Every. Single. Time.

You know they won't play ball. So don't stoop to their level. Play the long game with the goal to have their business moved so it no longer causes a problem. Sorry the problems are ongoing OP X

IggyAce · 28/07/2017 16:47

OP your cfn has more to lose than you, so keep reporting and do ask them to move, because if they cause too much of a nuisance they will need to move their business.

Lostinaseaofbubbles · 28/07/2017 16:59

Stick completely to the script. Take photos, keep a diary, make a log and report report report.

I can completely understand how tempting doing things like removing tyres is, but resist. If you maintain the complete legal and moral high ground then you have the best chance of this blowing over (and them having to move their business)

I completely get the frustration though we had CFN parking issues in my old house and I remember how totally under siege I felt

Somebody else might know if it would be beneficial to formally ask him to move and document each refusal along with a photograph dated to submit as evidence to the council.

And as for reporting them regarding tax, at this point I would make life as hard for them as I could.

SheSaidHeSaid · 28/07/2017 16:59

What a petty mofo, them, not you.

Jedimum1 · 28/07/2017 17:04

This is shocking. Why does he feel that he has any right to your driveway? Clearly jealous of the fact you have a driveway at all. Please put bollards or a chain. Once he cannot park in your driveway, he'll be blocking the road and then his car can be moved by police, as I understand.

Lweji · 28/07/2017 17:06

I almost hope he leaves his car on your drive over the weekend and you manage to install a bollard over it too.

fuckwitery · 28/07/2017 17:08

un fucking believable!

Bloke1976 · 28/07/2017 17:16

Just incase you weren't aware.

1sttime84 · 28/07/2017 17:24

Oh dear what a knob. I'd suggest taking photos and reporting this again to the council as surely they cannot block your driveway (assuming they are blocking a dropped down kerb).

KitKat1985 · 28/07/2017 17:24

Oh I can't believe CFN is now deliberately blocking your other drive. What a bellend. Is the car still there?

Mix56 · 28/07/2017 17:29

OK, think outside the box, what if you rented your drive to them Mon to Fri, from X to X time ? maybe £10 a day (that should be about £1 per client if they work 8 hours a day & you say there are 3 of them....)

Where is the nearest place they could park otherwise ? is it 5 minutes or 30 minutes away ? Surely they will accept, & then you save on bollards & wasting your life hating them.

OJZJ · 28/07/2017 17:36

Alpha. I know we have all joked on these pages but if this is escalating, I hope you took photos for a log and are writing all this down in a diary for ammunition if needed down the line, as not only cfn business causing undue hassle in a residential area (too tired to put full jargon in as an sure other helpful posters have previously) but it's now personal harrassement. If you have the energy try and write a diary of what happened yest and today whilst fresh-plus further back if you have acurate detail, With details of witnesses etc. Then I would also do what other posters have said which complain to council re effects business is having on residential area...
Have you got legal expenses on your home insurance as this should be covered under your LE if you need to use it (hopefully it won't come to that) having worked for years in ins years ago it's something I always have on policies. Good luck and keep us all informed x

OJZJ · 28/07/2017 17:39

Just read last page and seen everyone else offering the same advice-said I was tired... report, photos and diaries...sorry to repeat what's been said x

ClearEyesFullHearts · 28/07/2017 17:47

cfn has more to lose than you

So true. This type of fuckwittery is very bad for business.

LexieLulu · 28/07/2017 18:34

Just keep knocking on door and politely asking him to move

HiggeldyPiggeldy · 28/07/2017 18:49

CFN must be really quite thick, surely they must know that if he keeps being a pain in the arse you are going to report him and the problems he is causing with parking.

As others have said get the neighbours involved and report every time there is an incident. I would be putting it on their facebook page if the have one as well

the two threads have kept me entertained for a few hours, as well as raising my blood pressure!!!

Staceypreston32 · 28/07/2017 18:58

So, could someone kindly summarise what's been happening please? Too many pages to scroll through. I saw the original post and most of the comments, but lost track at reporting the business to the council for using the property for business use. Thanks!

kali110 · 28/07/2017 19:01

Why don't you get it towed?

Mummyoflittledragon · 28/07/2017 19:15

That's been a lot more than 2 hours. Have they moved it?

SisterMoonshine · 28/07/2017 20:08

Did you call the council again after the 2 hours?

Boosiehs · 28/07/2017 20:11

What's happened OP?!?!
