Sorry I'm confused. Did the tyres really get stolen or not?

FooFighter99 · 27/07/2017 17:04

secure.manchester.gov.uk/forms/form/744/en/h_bar_markings

Can you apply for this to go with your chain/bollards so the CF's can't block your drives? I thought it wasn't illegal to park across an empty drive, so even with chains/bollards they could still block access to your drives.

apols if this has been mentioned already

SteppingOnToes · 27/07/2017 17:06

OP - you say the business is legit? If you complain to the council about the problems you are having could this change??

Do they have a FB page? Could the MN collective leave some lovely reviews on the business?

TheMogget · 27/07/2017 17:07

I can't believe they didn't immediately move it (as soon as was mobile)! What is wrong with them?
Caught out doing something you knew you shouldn't but couldn't see the harm (from their perspective not mine) surely normal reaction is to apologise profusely and stop immediately, i.e. Move the car.

Weirdos. Please install bollards and perhaps CCTV to monitor reaction Grin

Goodasgoldilox · 27/07/2017 17:07

It does seem that this business has grown to a point where it no longer fits into your street.

You and your neighbours would be well within rights to contact the council about this. Such matters are the reason that councils are involved.

AlphaBites · 27/07/2017 17:08

Finally fucking hooray, car is gone !

OP - there are often council rules about businesses having to ensure that their trade does NOT disrupt local residents. If there are ongoing issues, it may be worth finding out more. However, it then means that you're officially in dispute with a neighbour, which can affect house sales.

MiddleClassProblem · 27/07/2017 17:13

Woohoo! Until CFN tries it again

honeysucklejasmine · 27/07/2017 17:13

Yep, bollard time. And I would speak to council re parking for the business.

Theycalledmethewildrose · 27/07/2017 17:15

So they basically removed it when they were ready to go home themselves. I'd report to the council tbh. Arrogant toads!

Hissy · 27/07/2017 17:23

It's the arrogance of them knowing they are utterly out of order and don't give the shiniest of shits...

Where were the wheels?

LiquoriceAllsorts86 · 27/07/2017 17:26

So they drove it without wheels??!

user1489675144 · 27/07/2017 17:31

How did they drive it without tyres? Did I miss the tyres being put back on? Or didn't they really get taken off.

simon50 · 27/07/2017 17:32

If your children are young (under the age of criminal responsability) let them get out there with something that will damage the car, markers etc. Oh sorry they were just playing on the drive !

JustDontGetItAtAll · 27/07/2017 17:33

Clearly the missing tyres were in OP's possession but understandably didn't want to outwardly admit it on here - fair enough! - but have been put back on. Either way, issue resolved! Smile

Lweji · 27/07/2017 17:34

Now, how about getting a few bits and pieces and store them just in front of twat neighbour's door?
If they park there again, I'd probably start dumping garbage on their doorstep.

MakeJam · 27/07/2017 17:34

Not read all of this thread sorry...

  1. Is the CF's house rented?
If so, talk with LL re running a business that possibly violates tenancy agreement and also upsets all the neighbours.

  2. Is there a mortgage on their property?
If you can find out who; talk with lender re running a business on site ...

woodhill · 27/07/2017 17:36

Glass the car is gone, get a chain up!

Articu · 27/07/2017 17:38

OP

Finally fucking hooray, car is gone !

What happened with the wheels. Did they buy new ones or did you have them?

Did you stand around while they put the wheels back on?
