The cheek of them, they are still going to use your drive?! WTF!

If you can't put up gates then definitely a couple of lock bollards are needed.

piefacedClique · 27/07/2017 15:50

Put a bollard up asap and only let it down when they agree to not allow clients to even drop off. OP I'm celebrating your balls with a big gin and deffo owe you one! Amazing sunbed reading! Don't give in to the fucker!

ChasedByBees · 27/07/2017 15:50

They are cheeky bastards aren't they?

KeiraKnightleyActsWithHerTeeth · 27/07/2017 15:51

It's still there? They are playing you for a fucking fool and having a jolly old laugh whilst shaving shit out of poodle hoops. Hire a car and park it across your dropped kerb. You can hire a car for a very reasonable price these days and aren't you having a few to drink tonight, what a shame.

End it today or you will be made a mug (suddenly on Love Island) forever.

Report to the council. If it's a business then he has to show that there is adequate parking provision for clients and clearly there isn't.

Get to b&q and get a chain and padlock for across your drive until your penguin bollards arrive. Put a sign on the chain saying private, no parking.

Can you bounce/push the car at all ? If you manage to get part of it onto the pavement/road you can report as an obstruction. Actually have you spoken to the police about the car ? And also the business owner threats/harassment ?

ASDismynormality · 27/07/2017 15:58

Can't believe he still expects to use your drive!

RestingBitchFaced · 27/07/2017 15:59

Can't believe it's still fucking there! I would be raging. Get it towed!

Windbeneathmybingowings · 27/07/2017 16:04

I actually think you've been too nice. If it were my drive it would have been towed yesterday and the bill sent to them. It's two days and still there. All this in between stuff has done nothing to resolve your actual issue.

Get it towed.
Get a bollard.
Fart in neighbours genera direction.
Done!

ItWentInMyEye · 27/07/2017 16:07

Calling them cheeky bastards doesn't really come close to covering it...but... the cheeky bastards! Shock

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 27/07/2017 16:08

I would absolutely, definitely, no delay about it get a chain (a big thick one) from B&Q to put across your drive as a temporary measure. You may need one for the other drive too if you suspect CFN may start sending CFNE to park there.

Also, get a sign made up (I'm sure eBay or Amazon will help you here) saying words to the effect of "Private Property. Strictly NO parking or dropping off access for Cunty Pooches (insert actual name of salon). CCTV in operation."

Leave it in no doubt.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 27/07/2017 16:11

I wouldn't interfere any further with the car now though. That would be stooping to CFN's level.

Also, please remember that whilst the Jenny & Miss Jolly thread was entertaining to those of us bored at home, it did end in physical violence in front of the OP's child. We wouldn't want any repeat of that.

WeAllHaveWings · 27/07/2017 16:12

IF the wheels were taken off its going to take a while to move, likely it will need to be picked up by a transporter of some sort of specialist equipment to move it without damaging the car further.

Or they need to order a full set of wheels with tyres which might take some time to organise. Also they need to make sure the car is fit to drive if it has potentially been damaged sitting on bricks.

They also might need to wait for the police to attend to get an incident number for criminal damage for their insurance. A full set of wheels and tyres will be hundreds of pounds.

IF the wheels were taken off.

Still no pics........

JacquesHammer · 27/07/2017 16:19

You really need to refer this to the council. Any application and granting thereof of permission to run a business from a residential property comes with conditions surrounding parking/not disturbing neighbours etc.

It is quite clear the business has outgrown the premises and that needs dealing with.

Nearly10to9 · 27/07/2017 16:28

Any pics op?Grin

SaltLiquorice · 27/07/2017 16:31

Ahem. The tyre thieves took the tyres. It does happen you know. They'll never be caught. Quite common.

paap1975 · 27/07/2017 16:32

By this point I think I'd have bounced it off. DP has lots of rugby mates. Failing that, I'd have surrounded it with nails or broken glass or something. I hope you've ordered that bollard

ClearEyesFullHearts · 27/07/2017 16:38

Un-bloody-believable that some random wanker can just rock up all over your private proverty

Aside from the utter rudeness of CFN and CFNE, this is what bothers me most. It's a classic case of poorly conceived law, or possibly old laws contradicting new ones.

Because the obvious question is does that apply to all private property? No, it doesn't.

We have laws against entering homes against the will of the owners or in their absence. It is private property and protected by law. (Then again there is the whole squatters' rights thing, so perhaps it's fuzzier than I first thought.)

If it is legal to place one's personal property (a car) on another person's private drive, what is to prevent someone pitching a tent on another person's front garden and simply living there?

Has anyone thought this through?

It's the kind of thing that makes me want to go into politics, just so it can be sorted once and for all. Angry

ItsASunnyDay · 27/07/2017 16:38

Just marking my place on the new thread. CFN and CFNE have got a fucking nerve. I'd never dream of using anyone else's driveway Shock

PurpleDragon76 · 27/07/2017 16:40

Dear God!!! So if I'm not using my bed can the neighbour have a kip there every day??? Fucking ridiculous reasoning. Big fat yay to bollard!!

FrostyPopThePenguinLord · 27/07/2017 16:41

Wait....so they want you to allow clients to drop off in your drive....presumably that also means pick up as well....now what happens when Mrs Bloggs lets her poodle do a shit on your driveway, or it gets the shits from ingesting some shampoo (it happens my dog won't stop licking the bloody stuff) this may just be my dog but I tend to let him have opportunity for a wee and a poop if he needs before and after car journeys, I'm sure many people do, if they don't know it's private property they may also do this, even picked up who wants shit and wee residue from a bunch of dogs all over their private driveway?
I'm not sure if it's worth putting up a private property no parking sign up, if the customers don't know already I'm sure it would put many off, I'd be mortified if I had accidentally parked in a private drive, I'd certainly change groomers if they told me it was ok when it wasn't!

Merrymumoftwo · 27/07/2017 16:42

Agree with person who said about letter, camera in addition to bollards. Add this to my previous place and it is not malicious but is protecting you and your family.

Merrymumoftwo · 27/07/2017 16:43

Place = advice

TheSnorkMaidenReturns · 27/07/2017 16:50

Bollards and chains on both drives plus camera.
Speak to other neighbours and list the disturbances. Write to council with this list.
CFNE sounds a nasty piece of work - you want her business gone.

Jaxhog · 27/07/2017 16:50

It ISN'T allowed. But trespass is a civil matter, not a criminal one. Which means you have to take action rather than the Police. A solicitors letter is usually enough to stop people doing this sort of thing. Although I'd also put up bollards.
