Scenario

Indoor Hotel Pool
Summer holidays
Very quiet spell

Woman A and children around pool. She has laptop and is using it and watching the children

Woman B comes in with her children
They settle and the children start to jump into the pool which causes a few tiny splashes which land on the laptop.

Woman A asks the girls to move to the other side of the pool to jump. They stay and continue to jump splashing the laptop more. Woman A covers laptop with towel and asks woman B of her children can move.

Woman B tells woman A that it's not a brilliant place to take a laptop and suggests she should put it away as they're in a swimming pool.

Woman A tells woman B that there are no viewing areas other than the side of the pool.

Woman B tells her children to continue jumping and having fun and that woman A should be enjoying time in the pool not staring at a screen.

Woman A hears this and tells woman B to fuck off learn some manners and that she is working and looking after her children. [confused

Woman A is in my opinion.

Glumglowworm · 26/07/2017 17:54

I hate this A and B stuff. It's clear you're B btw

Both were BU

A shouldn't have told B to fuck off and should realise a laptop and swimming pool don't really go well together

B should stop being so passive aggressive and could easily have told her kids to jump in on the other side, the only reason she you didn't was to be awkward

Woman A is being absurd to expect the planet to redefine the purpose of a swimming pool so that she can use electrical equipment very close to it.

For starters there is a small risk she will electrocute everyone in it if she gets up, trips and it falls in the water.

Nutter.

JustMumNowNotMe · 26/07/2017 18:24

kimmy it will be on battery power, there won't be plig sockets will there Hmm

Cubtrouble · 27/07/2017 19:00

Just mum- so you would be entirely happy to handle a wet electrical device regardless of mains power or battery? Wow!

Both A and B are entitled and could have made allowances for the fact all kids wanted to play, it's a pool, chairs can be moved, work sometimes needs to be done. Live and let live I say.

isadoradancing123 · 27/07/2017 19:04

A is wrong in my opinion

HaudYerWheeshtBawbag · 27/07/2017 19:14

I'd say woman A, however I say that with the position of the pool side, however I think having a laptop near a swimming pool Ian just idiotic tbh

Squirmy65ghyg · 27/07/2017 19:16

Woman A was probably doing her aloe vera sales, "don't miss a moment with the kids" pic.

Sushi123 · 27/07/2017 19:27

Woman A is wrong

kali110 · 27/07/2017 19:39

Think woman b is wrong.
She was passive aggressive.
No wonder a lost it.

iismum · 27/07/2017 19:41

Well having been in the position of needing to work over the holidays when the kids are desperate to get out and do fun things, I have some sympathy with Woman A. It really sucks when the kids can't do stuff because you have to work, and I often try to combine childcare with work. If she'd have asked kids not to jump in, that would have been unreasonable - or if her kids were at an age where they needed strong supervision. But since she just asked them to move to a different place, which I wouldn't have thought would make much difference to them, and assuming that her kids are old enough and competent enough for light supervision, I'm on A's side.

Sorry, I have no idea how I managed to post this twice Blush

As I said on reposted one:

You are a funny lot.

I work at the hotel
I also know one of the women in question as her family member stays with us frequently.

We have CCTV-it was all very easy to see what was going on

We found with woman A- but she worded her complaint in such a way that we had to have words with her regarding her use of filming in the space.

The pool is very large.

There are chairs/loungers all around.

Woman B chose to settle down very close to woman A

woman B was very verbal about tech being used around the pool and how idiotic it was and then she made part of her complaint that the woman A splashed her phone.
Woman B had her phone on during the entire time she was there and was taking photos using it for the duration. Grin

Woman B was being a cunt, but messed with the wrong woman. Good on A for sticking up for herself. Not every mum has the luxury of taking time off to take their kids out in the summer holidays, some of us have work to do as well.

kali110 · 28/07/2017 00:43

Neither of them sound like they were modelling good behaviour to their kids!
I Don't understand why women b didnt simply move away though? It was a reasonable request!
Woman b was being difficult for the sake of it.

SparklyLeprechaun · 28/07/2017 00:55

I'm with woman A here and think woman B has been a twat from start to finish. I would have told her to fuck off as well.
