Not to know if my trousers are too big or too small?

Before I had children, I was a size 8. One emergency, and one elective C-section later, whilst I weigh more or less what I did pre-children, my tummy is pouchy, fat and sticks out. I am running, eating sensibly, but it just seems to stay that way. Fine. Bigger things to worry about.

Like trousers.

I always seem to have problems with skinny jeans or capri pants falling down. With my size 10 jeans I thought perhaps they were sliding down because they couldn't fit "over" my lower tummy (to sit on my hips). So I bought some size 12 capri pants which are stretchy - and these slip down too.

The 10 feels snug, the 12 feels roomy, but either way, I end up with my gusset around my knees, which is not a good look. AIBU to be completely at a loss to why my trousers keep falling down? I feel like a Tombliboo.

I have this problem too and they often take my pants with them!

I've got quite big hips and a small waist so I always wondered if the hips had something to do with it. I wish they made women's jeans in waist/hip/length measurements similarly to men's sizing

I have the opposite problem. Small waist; big hips. Terrible gaps at the waist. You have to look for shops that suit your sizing. Ironically Gap works for me.

You need trousers with the right fit. Not all trousers will fit all body shapes so you need to look and see what suits you!

I really struggle with trousers, though, so I feel your pain.

Regardless of the size I jiggle when I walk which makes my trousers fall down

You need some trouser braces ! Grin

The problem is, they always feel fine when I try them on in the shop. It's only after an hour or so of wearing around the house, up and down stairs, picking up the toddler etc., I notice I'm suffering from Droopy Crotch.

I have slim hips, and used to have a small waist, but now have C-section tummy, which I think is exacerbating the problem. Even leggings fall down.
