Had vein sclerotherapy last Saturday... Aibu to remove the stocking?

had foam sclerotherapy to zap a small varicose vein on one of my legs on Saturday afternoon...advised by the surgeon to leave the support stocking on for 7 days day and night .and and ..I JUST CANNOT BEAR IT ANYMORE 😩😭

Have googled and looks like some drs only recommend 48 hours

Has anyone else had this done and if so how long did you leave it on for ?

that's your answer - don't ask people online to second guess your surgeon!

Don't do it, but call DR!

I've had it, I left it on for seven days.

I think it would irresponsible of any poster on mumsnet to tell you to not follow the surgeons advice.

By all means try contacting your GP or another medical professional for advice but if they said 7 days that must be for a reason

Yes! The stocking was irritating but worth it.

I've kept it on I'm quite proud of myself haha 😂 not long now till I can bin the fucker

Do NOT remove it, the longer on the better

I've got the stockings I'm asking for a referral back to vascular as I'm getting open sores were the veins are bulging totally hideous to be fair if you are to wear the stockings then listen to the surgeon

Like you, I had a vein on my leg done. I left stocking on 7 days.
Was bloody marvellous to get it off! I'm very pleased with the result as well. Only one more sleep to go. . . . .

Well I removed it on Saturday when I was meant to, my leg is bruised to hell but the vein is practically GONE !! Yes!!

My leg was really aching by sat evening so I put the thing back on and slept in it again and its been much better since :)
