I am absolutely pro-breastfeeding and I think this is bonkers! Why would anyone else give a shit?

BattleaxeGalactica · 23/07/2017 13:50

Can I introduce that sticker's even more nauseating cousin?

papayasareyum · 23/07/2017 13:51

I breastfed my children for over a year and yes, I couldn't be their friend either! What a pointlessly smug car sticker!

Bach2Bach · 23/07/2017 13:51

'Schopenhauer reading baby on board'

Lurkedforever1 · 23/07/2017 13:52

leaky Grin

Maybe car woman has them on other items? Like a swimming costume with the slogan 'my moon cup floweth over' and 'free bleeder on board' for public transport?

LockedOutOfMN · 23/07/2017 14:18

Haven't read the whole thread but agree with the OP (in a lighthearted way).

MrsRaymondReddington · 23/07/2017 14:37

Tea is clearly a bit of a militant BF supporter as she is the only person who believes this sticker makes FF mums feel inferior. I suspect she has this sticker!

SpartacusSaiman · 23/07/2017 14:45

In that situation, come to think of it, it might be useful to know if a baby is breastfed (so very small and possibly will have difficulty feeding from a bottle).

What difference will it make. Does the NHS have an army of wet nurses on standby. They would continue trying to Bottle feed until SS/family arrive.

I can imagine a few people i know would have this. Why cant an advert for bf services just say the name of the bf services.

Agerbilatemycardigan · 23/07/2017 14:48

Honk if you lactate!! 😂🚗

Exactly... Spartacus Hmm

They would probably find a whole lot more volunteers happy to display them. I have actually emailed a link to the thread to the group. Maybe they will have a rethink...

blackteasplease · 23/07/2017 15:00

Honk if you lactate would be funny so would go all the way round the unreasonable block and out the other side to reasonable again, iyswim.

Just imagining honking on the boobs.

Gotanewusernamenow · 23/07/2017 15:02

Why broadcast that??!!
It's not unheard of too breastfeed is?!

Gotanewusernamenow · 23/07/2017 15:02

Is it?!

Brittbugs80 · 23/07/2017 15:13

Is that sticker incase she's in a car accident and her boobs aren't in the car, the emergency services know to look for them

Brittsbug Grin

Babykoala1 · 23/07/2017 18:09

She's asking to get keyed.

nina2b · 23/07/2017 18:11

YANBU

nina2b · 23/07/2017 18:11

TMI frankly.

Daydream007 · 23/07/2017 18:17

Confused Words fail me! Reminds me of a woman I saw running a 10K in a t-shirt saying "I'm 4 months pregnant and running a 10K". What point are they trying to make?

Caprianna · 23/07/2017 18:19

I would certainly slow down and make sure I did not crash into the car of a breastfeed baby!

Mouthfulofquiz · 23/07/2017 18:24

I know it's a bit twatty to have that sticker - but maybe she is really proud of it? Is that so wrong? People generally have good intentions don't they.
(Not my sticker btw Grin I would prefer a boob shaped gold medal to wear at all times.)

megletthesecond · 23/07/2017 18:32

Yanbu. I know a couple of people who I wouldn't put it past them to use one of these signs. I avoid them like the plague.

NoddysBell · 23/07/2017 18:49

Tea you really don't get it, do you? I'm a midwife and pro-breastfeeding if that's what the mother wants to do. Some mothers can't or do not wish to breastfeed. What sticker should they have?

It's like having a 'Vaginally Delivered Baby on Board' sticker in your car. As though bring fortunate enough to deliver a baby medical intervention makes you worthy of a sign.

Fuck that shit. If a baby is fed and healthy, then all is well however it is fed.

Zaurak · 23/07/2017 18:50

I am pretty proud of having BFd my son. We had a really hard time of it at first and I was chuffed it worked out for us, we did it for 18m in the end. Im quietly pleased we managed it.

However, I'm well aware that many folk can't bf when they want to and it might upset them. Many don't want to bf, and they might feel judged...,and 99.999% of the rest don't give a flying fuck how I fed him. So yanbu at all. What a twat.

NoddysBell · 23/07/2017 18:51

*as though being fortunate enough to deliver a baby WITHOUT medical intervention.
