Sorry for my title. I'm currently growing a sense of humour so please bear with....

On a serious note though idk people twist the truth... to suit selves...
Case in point... a neighbour my mums age. For sheer coincidence I split from a LTR and my mum died within 3 weeks. This neighbor seemed them to have a nosey field day about it all as if my life is some ducking soap opera!! So have my xpartners family said how sorry they are and oh your going to be a rich little girl now your mums died!! I was 21 ffs!!!!!! Anyway,wen I bumped into mrs nosey-vile next in shops I'm v coldly polite with her and distant although basically civil. When her daughter saw me later on said I'd blanked her mum!! ??

Sorry about your mum and all, but I struggle to understand what the point of this thread is? That some people aren't very nice or particularly sensitive?

Why are you even wasting head space on people who you don't like or don't like you.

Whats the exs family got to do with anything?

How long ago was this?

And why would your neighbour know about all your goings on and what did they do that made you think she was entertained by it?

I get what you are saying. I have someone who is playing out drama from last summer while we have moved on.

She's twisted it to be the victim. But she was manipulative and ruined a friendship group. But in her head her story is true.

Your neighbour sounds like someone who elaborates things and adds things in.

Usually find they have nowt else going on in their lives!

Thanks for condolences BoysofMelody I think the point of the thread is that it e.g when you dare be a little more distant to people as I did for noseyness etc they twist it as "oh completely blanked them "! I know it seems like wasting headspace just wanted other people's opinions/experiences

Saiman I think what it was & sorry if my paragraph sounded disjointed - I finished with my ex my mum then died nosey neighbour was then delightfully wanting to find out all the juicy bits of how his parents etc reacted to my mums death were they disappointed that I finished with their son as implied he wouldn't benefit from my mums will just being nosey old 🐮

She was entertained as Grovee said cos nowt much else going on in life
