To ask for ideas for how to spend my birthday alone?

So it's my 26th birthday tomorrow. I booked it off work as I hate working my birthday and I usually work nights anyway so they're usually horrendous.

Anyway! DH booked my birthday off too but now has a two day trial starting tomorrow so has to be in court.

Would it be unreasonable to ask you for lovely ways to spend my birthday alone? I drive and live in Leeds so could go to the beach but it's a two hour drive. I just don't want to waste my precious annual leave by having a duvet day on my birthday and eating cake in my pjs.... I also have this furry thing to keep me company

Go on a spa day! What are you interested in? Any museums or restaurants where you can splash a bit more cash on yourself? Shopping trip?

That would be heaven, well for me anyway.

I hope you have a wonderful birthday Flowers

Go into town, get a Greggs sausage roll and ice cream, buy a copy of Heat, sit in the park, drink a nice can of cider, do all that fun stuff that you promise yourself but never do

I'd take ball of fluff to hornsea, stop off for mooch around beverley, or go to york for day, or hebden bridge fot big ealk round hardcastle craggs then into hebden bridge for spot of lunch. It's a nice train ride from leeds and lovely cafe with cakesat train station!

Happy Birthday for tomorrow. Such an amazing day to celebrate a birthday on Grin Grin.

Anything here as a one of event to do tomorrow? Either just got you, or you and the furry one?

Personally, it's me and the kids (no school) as DH is abroad. I'm taking the kids to a massive park and made. Picnic lunch. I've made me a birthday cake, and hit a decent bottle of red in.

Have a fab day whatever you do CakeWine

Oops, as you can tell, I've already started on the wine. Park and maze tomorrow. Got wine, not hit anything with it yet!

Mulch · 19/07/2017 21:53

Go to a nice dog friendly cafe take a book or sit on a bench with cider as a pp suggested Wink

RedSandYellowSand · 19/07/2017 21:55

Just a plain chocolate cake. Nothing worth taking a photo of!

AnneofGreenGablesAgain · 19/07/2017 21:55

Yorkshire sculpture park?

RaelImperialAerosolKid · 19/07/2017 21:59

If I had the day to myself - breakfast in Ilkley - Betty's - go for the kedgeree! Have a look round the stores some really pretty gift shops - then afternoon at the chevin lodge - spa and tea is nice - take a nice book - or lido if the weather is nice - enjoy.

Sunshinegirls · 19/07/2017 22:00

I'd go to a pub with a dog friendly beer garden that does ace grub and take a pile of glossy mags and loads of dog treats for the furry friend.

Pomegranatepompom · 19/07/2017 22:02

Cinema, shopping, coffee and cake :)

or buy a new book and some lovely snacks.

IrritatedUser1960 · 19/07/2017 22:02

When I've got a birthday alone on occasion I go on a shopping spree then go and watch a film or something plus a nice dinner.

cheeseknight · 19/07/2017 22:11

I recommend Oulton hall, titanic spa or Thorpe park hotel for a spa day. Have a great birthday!
