Just a quick straw poll. What would you think if a guy sent you this?

The hahayeaboi poster sounds like a bit of a knob.

This thread really is weird.

I 'get' the basics of surrealism, (as in the avant garde art movement; I had to take a module in Dada and Surrealism at university). I don't think this meme counts though. Is it meant to be a bit like ceci n'est pas une pipe? "This is respecting women"?

I do not associate

Borangesandlemons · 17/07/2017 18:34

It's a good idiot filter. If you post this kind of thing I do not want to associate with you.

Bluebellsagain · 17/07/2017 19:41

I'm still confused by the "joke" of the meme! Maybe I'm touchy but the fact it is a wildly popular meme featuring outlandish claims of respecting women as though the very idea of that is some kind of joke or novelty sort of annoys me. That lad culture just puts me off a little in a man near 30. I don't find the meme funny and not sure if he was testing me for a reaction.

I don't get it either.

But I once called things off with a guy I was chatting to because I saw he'd liked some 'red pill' kind of bullshit meme on Facebook.

His reaction when I told him why I didn't want to meet up just proved that I was right to do so!
