Posting for traffic.
I bite /pick my nails. I hate it and I ironically hate it on other people.
Any success stories out there of people who have stopped. I've been biting for probably 35 years.....😔

Find a buddy. I stopped when a friend at uni did because I thought if she can stop, I can. Also ALWAYS carry clippers and a file with you so if you break one you can trim it and it won't catch things and tempt you to bite.

After a lifetime of biting I found Shellac manicures cured me of the habit and has given me strong, straight and much admired nails. Nobody can believe the difference.

I have 'nearly' broken the habit. Next to me at all times is a Emery board, hand lotion and a fidget cube. I bite and pick through anxiety so if I feel a wee bit that I need to pick or bite I file it down, whack on some lotion and distract myself with my fidget cube. I have started using nail polish too - I'm awful at putting it on but getting better with practise and I will get some gels done when I get round to it. Good luck. If I can do it after 43 years of biting so can you!
