Or any others for that matter. Which nappies do you think are overall the best for your LOs? TIA

Used asdas little angels ones for the first few months and were great while I was changing his nappy every couple of hours but found they didn't hold up for long stretches.

Now use pampers baby dry and barely had any problems. He feeds constantly through the night still at almost 12 months, and the nappy weighs a tonne in the morning but still no leaks and DS seems happy!

Me264 · 15/07/2017 07:11

I only used Pampers for PFB DS for around a year, but they were always leaking at night. I switched to Boots for night because that's what they use at his nursery and they've been much better, no leaks at all. Now I use Boots or Sainsbury's during the day for him - they're absolutely fine and I can't believe I wasted all that money on Pampers at double the price for so long.

OwlinaTree · 15/07/2017 07:19

Aldi mainly here, sometimes morros. I've used lots and they've all been fine, so I get these as seem to be the cheapest!

SweepTheHalls · 15/07/2017 07:22

Pampers or Aldi. Tescos aren't at all absorbant and Asda brings DD out in sores.

Smurfss · 15/07/2017 07:45

Use pampers for ds, but I really miss huggies nappies which we used woth dd.

CasperGutman · 15/07/2017 07:45

We've used Aldi, Lidl, ASDA, Boots, Tesco, Pampers and Huggies back in the day. They were all OK. We just get the cheapest or the ones from the shop we're going to anyway. I can't get excited about it.

silkpyjamasallday · 15/07/2017 07:48

We use pampers, dd has narrow hips and a huge potbelly and they are the only ones that fit properly. Unfortunately she has now at 10 months learnt to undo them and take them off, I left her in her playpen while I did some laundry and when I came back she was happily standing up with a bare bottom nappy in hand. So I guess we will have to get pull-ups for hot days

Heartshappedsunglasses · 15/07/2017 08:09

Another vote for cloth here! We love close pop ins and tots bots easy stars for simplicity and absorbancy.
Local nappy library offer trials, talk to you and there is a huge online community of support.

Currently on holiday and using aldi disposables as were given a pack at Christmas so thought I'd use them up. Waste of time. They leak and smell for us.Wish I'd not bothered and bought the cloth ones. For future times I will buy natty/bum genius or kit and kin look lovely- all biodegradable. Yes I know they don't biodegrade in the time they state due to the landfill conditions but it's a dam sight quicker than the other brands.

Notreallyarsed · 15/07/2017 08:15

Pampers baby dry + (extra absorbency not bigger size). ASDA always gave mine a rash, Tesco and Aldi leaked.

Notreallyarsed · 15/07/2017 08:15

Asda and Tesco usually have pampers big packs on offer, so 2 for £18.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 15/07/2017 08:35

We find Lidl's as good as pampers. Most supermarket brands we've tried are ok. Pampers are as good, but as they are twice the price, aren't worth the extra money IYSWIM

MumsOnCrack · 15/07/2017 08:50

We get our Pampers from Costco and their own brand wipes are amazing - they're giant!

Soubriquet · 15/07/2017 08:57

Lidl!

I hate Aldi nappies. Too big and bulky. Sainsbury's nappies are really good too but the price keeps going up.

Lidl nappies are fantastic

Sushi123 · 15/07/2017 09:18

Asda is my first choice, Tesco second, both do the job and are good value for money - pampers definitely my last choice

Aspiezilla · 15/07/2017 09:20

I think it absolutely depends on the child's size and shape. You need to find one that fits properly, that's key.

MuncheysMummy · 15/07/2017 09:24

Pampers active fit for my tall slim 13 month old DS,nice and snug around the legs, never leak and don't bulge oddly when full overnight. Second favourite is pampers premium protection don't like pampers baby dry at all though, they smell weird and really strong chemically.

Orangebird69 · 15/07/2017 09:26

Exactly Aspie. There is no one size fits all. Those that have said ' are the worst' need to add 'IME' to the end of that sentence....

Notso · 15/07/2017 09:48

The cheaper pampers in an orange pack or the baby dry were best for us. Any of the premium/active ones gave my kids terrible rashes from the extra elastic I think.
Aldi were really good until we needed larger sizes.
Asda I didn't rate but the pull ups/pyjama pants are great.
Sainsburys, Boots Lidl and Morrisons were awfully leaky.

For cloth Bumgenius wraps over a bamboozle with extra inserts were great but meant most of my kids clothes didn't fit.

PlaidMaid · 15/07/2017 10:00

My 18 month old DD is good with nappies, doesn't get rashes and very rarely leaks anymore. So we're not restricted to certain brands and buy Morrisons, Asda and Ocado generally, sometimes Aldi and Boots too. Agree though that Pampers were awful as well as being more expensive. Often leaked. Like Asda, Tesco or Aldi for wipes, the Morrisons ones are useless.

RainbowPastel · 15/07/2017 10:42

Used pampers for both my children. Someone bought us some huggies and it was the only time we had any leaks.

Cakescakescakes · 15/07/2017 10:43

Tesco active ones for day and pampers baby dry for night time.

Supersoaryflappypigeon · 15/07/2017 10:45

Pampers-DD is prone to nappy rash (we change her regularly!) and I read that the higher levels of starch in some nappies can contribute to this. I don't know the level of truth in it but in Pampers she seems to suffer the least! That and they're the only nappies that haven't leaked overnight. Haven't tried Sainsbury's yet though and a friend swears by them so I might give them a go! Boots were ok too.

CrohnicallyPregnant · 15/07/2017 11:13

I don't actually like pampers, they smell funny and DD's clothes always feel damp. Unfortunately she seems to be allergic to all the other brands we've tried (contact dermatitis- red peeling skin in her whole nappy area). So until my new cloth wraps arrive, Pampers it is.

Ownerofalittlechimp · 15/07/2017 11:45

Asda all the way here, chunky ds2 has leaked in everything else bar these & expensive pampers. The asda ones have an elasticated bit on the waist that really helps with a good fit. Got on really well with Lidl nappies with skinny ds1 though

Calvinlookingforhobbs · 15/07/2017 12:01

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter I did try real nappies, but with two little ones at the time, I couldn't get into them.
My default nappies are pampers and I've recently been trying alternatives. I do like Aldi but find I have to change them more often and wonder if the additional changes negates the money saved! Thanks for all the info, I appreciate all replies 😊
