The Information Commission suggest you email CitizenGo telling them you did not sign the petition and ask for your name to be removed. Then forwards copy of your email and the reply with covering note to the Information Commission, or ring them on 0303 1231113.

Are you saying that if you didn't click the 'sign' button they will have counted you anyway? Most petitions have email verification.

The usual advice for spam is not to reply as that just proves your email address is valid. I didn't sign the petition, but I don't want to flood their email system!

It wasn't in my spam. DD thinks they have set it up so that just by reading the (incorrect) info I am included as a signatory.
They have just invited me to a demo tomorrow and I have (again) asked to be removed from their database.
I must have signed one of their petitions in the past. Won't make that mistake again.
