It's been raining for weeks.
10 bloody degrees again today, had to put my heating on the morning.
I can't get my washing dry everything is sodden outside.

Oh for some sun and even 20 degrees would be lovely.

oooh @whenthedragonscame thank you for the tip, I'll give it a go tonight!

whyhastherumgone · 11/07/2017 12:25

Oops just realised I totally didn't read the OP properly and have been complaining about heat while poor old OP has rain. Have my apologies OP! I will send some of this heat your way ;)

Emeraude · 11/07/2017 12:27

Currently in London, 35 weeks pregnant and for me, every cloud IS the silver lining. Only a few more days until I'm back in my Lancastrian stone cottage where no heat penetrates!

SasBel · 11/07/2017 12:28

Fab weekend but now very wet, in the NE.
Maybe we could organise a MN house swap?
A week in London would be nice, anyone up for a week in a sleepy town with a beach? Grin

ElinoristhenewEnid · 11/07/2017 13:34

Cooler today in east Anglia. Have been promised torrential rain on and off for the past fortnight but it never materialised in our town. But of rain yesterday but has been dry hot and humid since end of May. Not good for those with breathing problems.

Palomb · 11/07/2017 13:39

I can almost see my garden relaxing after today's rain. It's been hot here for months and nothing was growing which is not much fun as a gardener.

FormerlyFrikadela01 · 11/07/2017 13:41

It's freezing in my house at the moment. Debating whether to put the heating on.

Mothervulva · 11/07/2017 13:44

Enjoying the rain here in London.

It's just been very...sweaty.

Dogsmom · 11/07/2017 13:47

I didn't realise until I read this that it had been so wet up north (I'm in Staffordshire), I assumed the whole country had been warm and dry for weeks, quite fascinating to see the difference over a relatively small country.

Today has been wet all day here but it's the first lot for ages and due to be blue skies again tomorrow, it'll be lovely to have a green lawn again.

Mrsmartell08 · 11/07/2017 13:52

I'm in the middle
It's a toss up between hot and humid (29/30 degrees) and grey and raining (12/15 degrees)
No in between
Skirt and flip flops yesterday
Boots and raincoat today

cheeseslovesme · 11/07/2017 13:53

North here n rain again. Currently in boots n Cardigan raincoat. Hoping for some sunny days. Hmm

SuckingEggs · 11/07/2017 13:54

South coast - been very nice for weeks. Today is cooler though - phew! No rain though.

Don't worry you aren't the only one. I've seen mention of this scorching summer on so many threads recently... I'm like Hmm what summer???

toledanosunshie · 11/07/2017 14:08

It's funny how things change throughout the country. I don't think that my kids have been out of shorts since the end of May

WashBasketsAreUs · 11/07/2017 14:27

If anyone wants rain, just invite me to yours for a holiday. We had spectacularly hot weather here ( SW, UK) for a while, I went on holiday to the isle of Wight, overcast and rained every day until the day we went home! Granted it wasn't raining all day, spitting in the wind rain some days but it rained a lot on the Wednesday.
Every time I go on holiday ( even Australia in the summer) it rains at least once. I'm available to hire!

WashBasketsAreUs · 11/07/2017 14:28

Oh and the week after we came back? Hot!

HipsterHunter · 11/07/2017 14:45

It might be raining in london today but it's still 21 degrees!

I've just been up north for the morning and it was 12 and raining... Brrrrrr

BMW6 · 11/07/2017 15:07

I am in Hampshire and relieved that today is bucketing down and at least ten degrees cooler!
Have been so sorry for Scotland this summer though - I always watch the forecasts and noticed that they have had rain just about every day, and it's been hotter here at 3am than there at 3pm!

NotAnotherUserName5 · 11/07/2017 15:37

I'd swap happily-it's 28c in my bedroom every night lately. Wasn't fun during my pregnancy, certainly not fun with my newborn!

Cailleach666 · 11/07/2017 15:45

I'll swap.

28 degrees sounds lovely.

I'm afraid this is the main (probably only) reason why I don't live in the North. And believe me the house prices up there do tempt me often! But I hate rain, and I hate grey miserable weather, I would not fare well up North I feel!
I'm south west and this summer has been just right for me so far.

HappyAxolotl · 11/07/2017 16:04

I've enjoyed the weather in London today. It threw it down all morning and was quite a lot cooler, still not cold though. It feels fresher. The air feels cleaner. The garden is perking up and has that deep earthy smell.

It hasn't been the heat that has bothered me but the humidity. I've felt constantly sticky and sweaty. A dry heat, or even a bit of breeze blowing, would be an improvement. I grew up by the sea so even on hot days there was some clean cool air blowing in. Inland city heat is something else.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 11/07/2017 16:09

Raining here today although not cold and everyone is delighted as it's been 28/29 all weekend and muggy as hell.

Montsti · 11/07/2017 16:31

I've been on holiday in the South of England for the past couple of weeks and the weather has been hot bar a couple of slightly cooler, greyer days max. Today is the only rainy day we've had so far...

Difficult to sleep at night...but I'm not complaining as I love the heat and am escaping a Southern Hemisphere winter...

Fingers crossed the heat returns for us and travels up North too!

LoadsaBlusher · 11/07/2017 16:42

Scottish here
Sick of rain and damp and grey skies
Myself and DC wearing jeans and jackets daily
NoBBQs
No paddling pools

It's a shame for the kids more than anything
