To be annoyed at neighbours garden waste in my garden?

NDN has had large 30ft+ conifer felled by tree surgeon this morning. The trees location was very close to the border of our garden so inevitably there have been branches, leaves, wood chips etc fall into our garden throughout the morning. I assumed there would be a knock at the door for access to clear this from our garden but they've left. It is a real mess, piles of sawdust everywhere, all over my toddlers swing, slide etc. No way they wouldn't have seen the mess being made in my garden, the main trunk leans against the dividing fence so they spent half the morning up it looking down at my garden! NDNs garden and even his front drive has been cleared of mess. AIBU to be annoyed by this?

Go knock the door and ask them when they are coming to clear it up?

RapunzelsRealMom · 10/07/2017 14:24

I'd definitely pop in to ask when they're coming to tidy up. Your NDN probably doesn't even know they've left such a mess

Yep go chap the foot and ask when they are coming back to clean it up.
If they not coming back get their phone number and tell them to come back or you will bill them for the cleanup.

No decent tree surgeon should leave a site in that state after taking trees down. Go & get your neighbours to get them back into clear up (and take photos of the mess in case you need them!).

Thanks ladies glad I'm not BU. I'm baffled how they've thought it's fine to leave this mess. On our 'local mums' Facebook page this company are often being recommended as a good local family company so when I saw they had been employed by NDN I thought they'd do a good job. Just two weeks ago the garden fences were all repainted and everything was neatened, it really did look immaculate. I've got a toddler itching to go out now having been locked in all day Angry

I would ask them to either clear it up themselves or have the company come back and do it by the end of the day.
If they don't do it today I would be contacting the company directly.
