The last thread is full, Not sure if another has been started.

Theres a CA rally at GOSH planned for tomorrow. What are these people on?

It's reported that Charlie's mum and dad were indeed at the GOSH rally today: www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/jul/09/us-residency-for-charlie-gard-to-be-proposed-by-congressmen

Yes Puzzled their interview from the rally is on all the news channels, including BBC. The father reportedly said Charlie does not have the brain damage the hospital have said he has.
What is going on? How are they reporting one thing and the hospital another?
Is someone not telling the truth? If so who?
It's very difficult when the media is reporting everything.

I believe the hospital. I'm sorry if that makes me a heartless bitch, but I really don't think that highly trained doctors go round making up that babies are brain damaged for the hell of it.

The independent paediatrician who was hired by the parents legal team at the last UK hearing also agreed with the hospital.

I am actually sickened to read the Gosh facebook page and on there, there is a guy who is saying on the sister in laws facebook page she is slating Gosh something chronic and telling people to stop donating to Gosh, that is absolutely appaling.

The selling of goods is just disgusting
They don't need the money. I see people are being encouraged to donate to the mother's PayPal account or direct to her bank accounts (details all conveniently displayed on their web page)

The photos they're posting are quite uncomfortable to look at. There's not the slightest sign of life in the wee soul but his parents are smiling away as if it's a normal family picture.

I think they said if the money couldn't be used for Charlie's treatment, then they would donate it to a mito charity.

Every time I look at Connie she just looks so frantic and trapped. I want to just go and get her and take her away and tell her it's ok to stop. Stop, and be with her baby as much as she can while she can.

I think of my own family and friends, I hope they would take me away from the media and the protests, take me to a quiet place and sit with me and listen to me for as long as it took until I had reached some sort of peace.

But it seems the people around her have the exact opposite agenda and that is so sad.

healthy and thriving are they unable to grasp the concept of oedema?! That poor child is dying! He is swollen due to all the chemicals/support keeping him alive, just so his parents "have him" with them. It's beyond me, how do these people think this is normal?

sauvignon, that's what I thought so it's good to hear it from someone who has been in that position. I honestly don't think anybody could have the slightest idea how they would react in this situation and I think it would be very normal for rationality to disappear completely.

Which is why I find this thread with all this pontificating about how posters think they 'should' be feeling or what they 'should' be doing so distasteful. Along with the lovely comments about things like how they'll probably abandon Charlie when he isn't cute anymore to have another baby or that they're just doing it for the attention/money. Ugh.
