To think that the IKEA delivery guy should have knocked the door?

Waited in all day for a delivery. Had a text at 12.30 saying they would be there in a hour. Waited until 2.45pm and checked my phone to find a message saying that they couldn't deliver the items.
Rang the delivery line and they said there was no reply to the phone that they rang sitting outside the house! They didn't knock. Rang the mobile which was on charge and out of earshot so they drove off!
Got to go through the whole thing again next Wednesday! 😡

Ikea did this to us too. Very frustrating!

You should have been within earshot of your phone that's why they ask for your number

They should knock. So many reasons why you might not answer the phone - in my house the signal is so crap the call won't even connect half the time.

senior they ask for the number to give text updates to reduce the frustration of waiting from 8am til 8pm.
As satisfying said there are lots of reasons why the phone may not be answered!
