To be devastated my wedding dress is lost?

I ordered it from Debenhams in the sale, perfect size etc. I tried the same thing on in the shop and needed just that one smaller size, they had it online, last size left.

I received an email saying my parcel had been delivered to a neighbour.

She doesn't have it.

This was over two weeks ago. It was suppose to have arrived by 30/06/2017 the latest. After that date, I kept ringing for updates and they said they'd call me back etc etc (they never did), and then they said they were getting the courier to find out where it is. Courier confirmed they left it with neighbour.

So, customer services told me today that it's out of their hands. That is that. I pleaded and after a lot of pleading, they gave me Head Office email.

I emailed Head Office who sent this back to me, I have attached a picture.

AIBU to say this is really bad customer service? They don't seem to care at all.

I have gone as high as it seems I can go.

My wedding is the first Saturday of August. I have a big baby bump that looked incredibly flattering in this dress but now I have to get something else entirely last minute.

I felt beautiful in that dress Sad

I would report it also. That's absolutely disgusting.

AvoidingCallenetics · 08/07/2017 10:39

You need to call the police. She is openly stealing from you!

AspieZilla · 08/07/2017 10:40

Glad you got refunded. Did you get a replacement sorted? Make sure you mark all parcels to never be left with your neighbour.

SparklyMagpie · 08/07/2017 10:40

Omg!! What an absolute sneaky bitch! How could she do that?!?!

Have you confronted her? Notify the police and i'd be inclined to tell her i'd be doing so

How can anyone do such a thing ?!

chupsmelad · 08/07/2017 10:41

It was LorelaiLeighGilmore* who was right on the money.

PumbletonWakeshaft · 08/07/2017 10:42

Is there a way to flag a stolen item on eBay? I'm not on it so don't know how it works.

SparklyMagpie · 08/07/2017 10:46

GrumbleBumble cracking idea, what do you think about that OP?

eurochick · 08/07/2017 10:46

I agree - report to the police and tell Debenhams. What a nasty dishonest cow.

GinIsIn · 08/07/2017 10:47

Sadly I was expecting this to be the case! Screenshot it straight away and report to the police.

Alternatively get a mate to pop round there posing as the police and demand it back!! Grin

Squishedstrawberry4 · 08/07/2017 10:48

Which neighbour?

MadameOvary · 08/07/2017 11:01

Shock Cowbag! Get the police involved!

elfies · 08/07/2017 11:07

The Juliette dress looks truly beautiful BlueAndYou, so I hope you manage to get the exact dress elsewhere .
Glad you finally got a satisfactory response from Debenhams .
Have a lovely wedding and a happy life xx

Pawsbutton · 08/07/2017 11:12

That is bloody shocking.

Same thing happened with a coat I ordered... the company did send a replacement

Lozzamas · 08/07/2017 11:17

Take your refund and order click and collect for a replacement of something so precious. I'd let Debenhams know it's on a FBI sale site - they won't do anything but you'll have given them the option. Never allow anything to be left at alternative addresses again now you know you have a thief in your midst.

JustMumNowNotMe · 08/07/2017 11:21

Jesus christ the cheeky cow!!!!! I'm Shock

HurtyTeeth · 08/07/2017 11:22

I sincerely hope that you are contacting police over her theft, OP.

HeyRoly · 08/07/2017 11:26

I knew the neighbour had nicked it. It was the only plausible explanation, considering it'd been signed for.

EdmundCleverClogs · 08/07/2017 11:29

Screenshot it and call 101 now.

PenguinBollard · 08/07/2017 11:32

101 definitely!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 08/07/2017 11:37
