DH is out.

The dog keeps growling at it and I keep hearing noises..

Ten minutes ago it fell over for no reason.

I want to put it in the garage but it has a window that leads into next doors garden and I wouldn't like to terrify their children....

Also, if I go over there I feel like it might get me.

Disclaimer: I've had a drink.

Nothing to add, but saw the thread title, and ...

He/she looks as though a chess board, half played, on the table would be good. You know, been considering the next move for so long that the opponent has given up and gone away, and the player has turned into a skeleton ....

Or is that a bit weird?

thelikelylass · 06/07/2017 20:43

It's only July! Talk about premature exoskeleton.

(yes I know it's not actually an exoskeleton, but 'premature skeleton' wouldn't be funny).

MipMipMip · 06/07/2017 21:18

I think I love you Traveller! I too am more than happy to have my skeleton as a prop. To be honest when I'm done with my body peoples can do whatever they like with it. I'll not be using it!

daisychicken · 06/07/2017 21:30

alpacasandwich I used to have a skeleton called Stan, I used him for studying (healthcare course). I eventually sold him on eBay to a really strange couple.. they drove off with him in the boot and never mentioned why they wanted him.

I'm a little worried that my Stan might be your Stan - we bought him off eBay and had to put him in the boot .. due to a pole in an uncomfortable place! I can assure you if he was your Stan, that he's very happy in his new home and is dressed up by the dc not me all the time! Grin

Queenofthestress · 06/07/2017 21:51

I have a skeleton in the garden called Daniel

QuackPorridgeBacon · 06/07/2017 21:52

Is there any way to confirm it's the same skeleton?

I need to know!

user1476869312 · 07/07/2017 17:20

I am wondering just how much trouble I would be in if I posted a link to a certain book about... well, one of the stories in it is about a skeleton.

SnickersWasAHorse · 07/07/2017 17:26

He's going to be a great prop to have about the place.

StormTreader · 07/07/2017 17:48

YouTube is a great name for him because you'll probably find yourself idly watching him when you dont have anything else to do Grin

Morecoffeeurgently · 07/07/2017 17:59

Now he/she is dressed it's starting to remind me of one the residents of the Capuchin catacombs in Palermo. I think he's less haunted naked to be honest.

🤣🤣🤣🤣
Brilliant!
He looks like he's been waiting for his dinner for a long time!

ShizeItsWeegie · 07/07/2017 18:47

I would be tempted to put the Kate Moss slogan, 'Nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels', on a piece of card around his (or her) neck.

Love it!! We have Mr Skeleton beside our arm chair.... he's 3ft tall and has been here since I studied physiology and anatomy back in 2007.... DD was born in 2009 and so has grown up with a constant skeleton here, she dances with him and he gets posed around DH if he falls asleep and I've been drinking Gin Wink

We also have Burt who is a skull with a removable brain who sits on the bookcase.....

gettingbacktoresearch · 07/07/2017 19:03

Oh and when we moved in to this house I found a two foot tall stone head who looks like Elvis in the garden, hidden in a bush by the pampas grass.... this house is used to odd things.....

73kittycat73 · 07/07/2017 19:31

*He should be called Dr McCoy of course.

Bones to his friends*

Genius. Grin

Was it a front or back garden? You know what Pampas Grass means don't you?

elephantoverthehill · 07/07/2017 20:07

I think we need a photo of the Elvis head.

scoobydoo1971 · 07/07/2017 20:51

Put him in the garden if the weather is nice...he can get a skeleTAN...sorry, scooby is now putting the cheap crackers from poundland back in their box...

MetalMidget · 07/07/2017 20:56

Sixtus the skeleton? I hear it's what all the cool kids are called!

user1476869312 · 08/07/2017 00:07

OK, going to risk it. this book contains an erotic story about a model skeleton. Also one about tripe.

user1498911470 · 08/07/2017 08:44

Make no bones about it, of course it is haunted. You just need to hope that Bill (is it a male or female skeleton?) was a nice person.

gettingbacktoresearch · 08/07/2017 15:54

73kitty it was the back garden and yes re the pampas grass Grin

Attached is Elvis.... I've had the bushes cut down and trying to decide where to put him Hmm

I think I've bought a haunted skeleton....

Dumbledoresgirl · 08/07/2017 22:07

I hate to burst your bubble but that doesn't look anything like Elvis !

It does, however, look a hell of a lot more scary than the skeleton. I think I would run screaming if I came across it in some bushes.

elephantoverthehill · 08/07/2017 22:34

Gettingback I don't want to alarm you, but this was on Nationwide a television programme in the 70s. It scared the shit out of me as a child.
