AIBU to think wrapping myself up in a bow was a good idea 😂

I am not a troll I promise but this will sound slightly odd..... please share your failures to !

Me and my partner have had a pretty rough time recently and maybe both have taken it out on eachother.
After a few days of being off and tired with one another, I got home to open the fridge with a block of cheese wrapped in a bow ( for reference it was meant to be sweet and funny as I have a very big love for cheese ! )

So I spent days trying to work out how to make things up to him ...maybe spice things up again.

Took bloody advice from my friend and ordered this red bow to wear classed as underwear but looks like a bow that they unwrap 😂

So put alot of effort in to making the night special and the arse laughed his head off 😂😂😂 could not take me seriously so ended up back in my minion pyjamas ! 🙈

I mean he probably found it funny because it is out of character.

Well at least it broke the tension between you two lol. Laughter is good Grin. and I can't get the image of red ribbon wrapped loins out of my head now

No, it was fucking mortifying. I mean, he wanted to have sex and all that, but what initially seemed like a great idea was very embarrassing in reality.

I've done the bow thing too. That went down very well actually.

Whenever I try something sexy it will go tits up (sorry I had to) he is usually not bothered and I give up, but good on you op for getting a good laugh out of him 😝

Can i just recommend building a blanket fort? That got the best response. Lovely sex and eternal awe at my wonderfulness.

My friend me tried seducing her now DH in the early days of the relationship.

She I thought it would be nice to dress up in a sexy police women's outfit. She made the excuse of going to get him a drink and slinked off.

She'd had a few glasses of wine at this point for Dutch courage, got dressed and got a beer, then tried walking seductively back into the front room.

All was good until she tripped, beer went flying all over him. And she ended up in a&e with a fractured ankle.

She's always been clumsy Blush

Yeah, proper kids blanket fort type thing full of cushions and duvets. And a naked me. Obviously the kids were at their dads.

I am terrible at this stuff !

I am just not very good at romance, we spend more time insulting eachother ( in a loving way )

Last time we tried to have a nice romantic night in.
Ending is us getting in to a very very heated game of mario kart which then led to him knocking me off a cliff which he seemed to enjoy so much.
Then ended up gloating to the point I shot him with a nerf gun.

We have a good relationship ...I swear

My disaster - this happened many years ago when I was newly married to ex dp.

It was just after Christmas and I had been bought some sexy undies, ex was working until late so I decided to wait up and surprise him when he got in off his shift (police officer). When I heard his car pull up I went into the hall and waited behind the door, as soon as he came in and closed the door and before he had a chance to switch on the light I reached out and tried to embrace him. Startled and still very much in "work mode" his reaction wasn't what I had expected - in a split second I was pinned in an arm lock with my face against the wall!!! He was mortified when he realised, we laughed about it later but it killed the mood - I never tried that again, my arm was sore fo a week!!!

Years ago there was a thread here by some poor woman who dressed as a schoolgirl to surprise her DH, and he burst out laughing.

She posted on here, and ofc, it turned into a 10 page thread arguing about whether dressing as a schoolgirl is innocent fun or not.

I've never been into the dressing up thing, but blanket fort sounds like an excellent idea except the blooming kids are always around.
