To ask why is everyone obsessed with unicorns?

Unicorn cake, unicorn hair, unicorn drinks...it's everywhere. When did this become a thing? What started it? What's next?

It's a bit odd that adults follow these trends as they pop up. Prosecco, gin and pugs being just 2 "trends" that I can think of in recent years.

It reminds me of year 8 when everyone in my class were obsessed with the colour purple and kickers shoes.

Me and my OH have had a thing for 8 years that when we're christmas shopping if we see something we want we point and say 'flamingo'....flamingo's becoming a thing has taken the fun out of it.

Melons are becoming a big print now as well. Their pushing out pineapples.

My DD6 would say unicorns are dull - it's all about alicorns apparently...

Didn't know unicorns was a big thing. I mean no-one I know over 13 is bothered about unicorns. And I hate prosecco (someone mentioned that was a 'trend.')

I get pissed off with music trends. Like I get that Adele and Ed Sheeran are good, but why do people rave like they are Gods?

I think people jump on trends and popular things whether they're great or not. Just to fit in.

I agree wrt pineapples! that confuses me more! I get that unicorns are cute.

thislittlecar I read that column, interesting story, cupcakemania has abated a bit now. I remember reading that Brian Keenan when he was released said that he couldn't believe every shop he went in to sold bottled water. That one isn't going away, although, maybe it will as the plastic bottles are so bad for the environment.

The pineapples took me by surprise. I went into town today for the first time in a fortnight and they are EVERYWHERE!!

Mermaids crossed with cats? But they're already people crossed with fish so where does the cat bit fit in? Mermaids with cat tails? Why?
