a mum I like who also likes a gossip, went over to them. Then came straight over to me, they did follow but slowly. And she said I'm sure you have heard the gossip about WORKzilla and her childcare dilemma did you really tell her you can't do it now and just ignore her messages and calls?

Hands up that mumsnetter because that mum must be on here.

GabsAlot · 05/07/2017 13:29

good on you fam

but its ok for thm to judge you but wont offer help themelves?

id stay away from all of them

famtastic · 05/07/2017 13:30

I don't have the texts now no, but I know it's the truth and so does she, will be interesting when we are on school run together! I made it all such a big deal in my head and it wasn't really that bad.

God I'm hoping non of them do see it, but if they do they do x

Ooooo well done you, and i am liking your little sidekick-gossipy-mum-friend facilitating your setting them straight Grin

Flowers for you all! Wink

aaaaargghhhhelpme · 05/07/2017 13:32

Yay! Well done you! That's awesome.

Id have dropped in the 2am texting...cos nothing says 'mum to be avoided at all costs' than someone who texts all hours of the day with abuse...

MarthasHarbour · 05/07/2017 13:32

oh yes, sidekick-gossipy-mum-friend must definitely be a MNer!

IggyAce · 05/07/2017 13:34

You handled them brilliantly, meeting WORKzilla will be a walk in the park.

PoorYorick · 05/07/2017 13:35

Do none of them frequent this nest of vipers??

RubyRoseRing · 05/07/2017 13:35

A very satisfying update. Well done, bravo, famtastic.

I'm also pleased to have caught up while DH is out as he's been asking me for up to date details every time he sees me peering at my screen. Then he gets confused at who said what. Anyway, l must go, no WORK for me but l do have a medical APPOINTMENT to attend.

Allthebestnamesareused · 05/07/2017 13:38

Say hi to WORKzilla receptionist when you get to the doctor's RubyRose!

Well done Fam.

I also believe GossipGirlMum is on MN and she'll be on later to tell us all how she helped out!

(It wasn't me either Sad )

Brew Cake to Fam who is exhausted . As are we.

Hortonlovesahoo · 05/07/2017 13:41

Well done Fam!!! Awesome morning! I bet that'll get back to her. I'd agree with a PP about mentioning the 2am texts too!

RubyRoseRing · 05/07/2017 13:41

I'll probably laugh in a slightly insane manner when l lay eyes on my first receptionist today. Smile

SparkleMotions · 05/07/2017 13:52

Baroness I think OP put WORKzilla in that post, rather than obviously refer to her real name like the Mum in the playground would have!

Treble28 · 05/07/2017 13:55

Well done Fam! I'm having a bad day at WORK and thread #4 has really cheered me up Smile Good on you for standing your ground and telling the truth without being mean - people will see straight through her lies. School gate gossip annoys the hell out of me and it must be worse with all that false sympathy for WORKzilla going around.

But this isn't over yet.... and I will be checking for thread #5 next Monday to see who is on the doorstep Wink.

HotelEuphoria · 05/07/2017 13:58

So who took her children to school today?

RaspberryOverloadsOnIcepops · 05/07/2017 14:02

I'm another one wondering if the gossipy mum is on MN. It's the way it was done, she created the opening for fam to give her side of the issue.

And no, it wasn't me, I haven't had to do school run for years....

Roughlyroughrough · 05/07/2017 14:02

Flipping well done Fam!

BaronessEllaSaturday · 05/07/2017 14:07

SparkleMotions I didn't think for a second that the mum used that word however she did ensure fam got her side across.

Spadequeen · 05/07/2017 14:08

Well done. And good on the other gossipy mum for saying something.

I wouldn't want to be crazy mum now. Though I'm sure she'll try to worm out of it somehow

Redsippycup · 05/07/2017 14:08

Well done fam ! How bloody awesome are you, hey?!

You can do anything now!

Starlight2345 · 05/07/2017 14:14

Well done Fam..

confuugled1 · 05/07/2017 14:17

Well done for telling her where to go - and for telling the rest of the mums and saying that they could step up and do it!

Shame you don't have the texts any more - they would have made a great printout Grin

If she tries to say anything about Monday, remind her that if she tries to dump the dc on your doorstep, that that's child abandonment / child abuse / child cruelty (sorry, can't go back through all 3 threads to find out exactly which of those she said to you about leaving them on their own!) and that they will be staying on your doorstep while you report her to SS and that they can pick up the kids!

Aeroflotgirl · 05/07/2017 14:18

Good on you, funny the friends aren't available to help with her childcare! Good on you, does it feel good to be assertive Smile.

RortyCrankle · 05/07/2017 14:22

Well done fam an ace result. I'm assuming that getting the middle finger from your SIL may finally have got through to WORKzilla Grin

Jljb02 · 05/07/2017 14:22

Am way too invested in the outcome of all of this!!!!! GO FAM!!!!! You are awesome!
