Hey all sorry for late update, I forgot I had a meeting at school senco at 9:30! So had to hang about for that then I needed a few bits from the shop and bumped into a friend who came back for a coffee. I wrote a long post and my phone died, obviously before it updated. Then it was lunch time for dd so just popped on and nope no update. Ok so...
Got to school and I was getting some ridiculous looks off people and they were whispering, a mum I like who also likes a gossip, went over to them. Then came straight over to me, they did follow but slowly. And she said I'm sure you have heard the gossip about WORKzilla and her childcare dilemma did you really tell her you can't do it now and just ignore her messages and calls? All mums were now listening haha but I'm glad she did it like that and to be fair she did it in a non believing way and shot the others an ( why didn't u ask look)
I said no I certainly did not do that! Another mum pipped up saying it's going to be so hard for her now what will she do?
So I said can you all help her? Gasps and horror faces from them all. No we have plans etc etc.
And I said yes well so do I and I was never asked to do it and I never said that I would do it, it was expected of me. I agreed to the odd favour and that is all. Not all holidays. And I'd never offer to do that for free as I have plans with my own children so it is a commitment I can not keep to!
I then told them about the door step and that my grass loving neighbours could happily in sure fill them in on the scene. No one could believe it! Then ds told them that he puked on her haha!
I said this is what happened im sure she has a different story to tell, but that I didn't care anymore as I will not be doing it and that if they felt bad for her maybe they could take it in turns? Hahaha! I said that but in a nice way and they all laughed it off. So I'm off the hook for now 
I just kept thinking of you all in my pocket being able to hear me and telling me off if I wasn't assertive. I feel great but exhausted now!
