Here's a suggestion for her - why doesn't she take them to work with her and then her husband collects them after he finishes work? GP surgeries have staff rooms, plonk then in there with some books or TV. Or just leave them at home, they sound old enough!!

ChasedByBees · 03/07/2017 22:09

Wow that was awesome. Sadly I think she'll be back though! You're through the worst now - stick with it!

Bellini81 · 03/07/2017 22:10

DoesHewantToOrNot I think it's because the WORKzilla has used all money to pay off the holiday so can't afford childcare and they don't have anymore time allowed off? I could be wrong though...

flumpybear · 03/07/2017 22:10

Does .... because
They have no money for child care because They spent it On a holiday, so expect the rest of The world to cough up their free time with their own children

OnTheRise · 03/07/2017 22:11

Phew. What a read those other threads were! And what a lovely family you have, Fam. Well done to all of you.

I bet Workzilla will ask you again, and be surprised when you say no. She has no sense of what's ok, does she?

cafetea · 03/07/2017 22:11

DoesHeWanttornot - the money they were saving by not having to pay for childcare was the cost of their jaunt to disnay land!

IloveBanff · 03/07/2017 22:11

DoesHeWantToOrNot Because if they have to actually pay for childcare they won't be able to afford to go to Disney World.

YetAnotherHelenMumsnet · 03/07/2017 22:12

Hi gang,
Thanks to all who have reported concerns about this thread and the many others related to it. With the spectacularly timely vomiting incident the MNHQ inbox has well and truly blown up, as you can no doubt imagine. We've been giving the benefit of the doubt here, but experience has taught us that when MNers really start reporting, they are usually onto something and so we are shortly going to bring this entertaining thread to a close.

echt · 03/07/2017 22:13

Very entertaining thread. Apologies if this has been noted already because I've not ReverybitofTFTs, but surely WORK is going to be up there with all the other classic MN phrases; are you on glue?, head tilt, nice ham, tinkly laugh, etc.

Catsize · 03/07/2017 22:13

I think you should offer to go to Disney in their place. Wink

FATEdestiny · 03/07/2017 22:13

Well done MNHQ

I called it first Grin

FreakinScaryCaaw · 03/07/2017 22:13

Oh you so haven't heard the last of workzilla.

I feel sorry for the dcs being brought up by them two.

DoveBlue · 03/07/2017 22:13

Your whole family sound amazing! Good on you for not letting them bully you. Glad your DH stood up for you so well (& has a great sense of humour). If you wanted to start a funding page for your DS and his amazing vomit timing pretty sure we could have his uni fund covered Grin

echt · 03/07/2017 22:13

Naice , not nice.

YouTheCat · 03/07/2017 22:13

Aw, I was enjoying that.

DoesHeWantToOrNot · 03/07/2017 22:14

So the holiday is paid then?

I assume she's now saying that unpaid time off means no spending money for them?

If the holiday is paid she'll lose a shit load if she cancels because of that.

I do realise however she won't be and she was just trying to guilt trip the OP.

Well done OP for sticking to your guns and well done minifam for throwing up over her.

SlothMama · 03/07/2017 22:14

BOOOO MNHQ

LineyWimey · 03/07/2017 22:14

Bye bye, daft entertaining thread. It was a blast.

ArchieStar · 03/07/2017 22:14

MNHQ you meanies!!!

WankYouForTheMusic · 03/07/2017 22:14

I was too. I don't care that it's fake.

Catsize · 03/07/2017 22:14

What?!? No MNHQ!! Don't do it!! Shock

peukpokicuzo · 03/07/2017 22:15

Noooooooo!
This is a classic. Please don't do this

Bluntness100 · 03/07/2017 22:15

I don't think this is over either, she is going to spend the rest of the holidays trying to get you to provide free child care.

It's horrible bullying that she thought your husband was out and brought hers, so she wanted two on one.

Screaming at you that you have a life of luxury and the least you can do is provide her free child care is shocking, it's as if she thinks she's personally enabled you to be at home so you owe her.

I've never heard the like. Real or not, very entertaining and mind boggling.
