Does he want Workzilla hasn't got Anjali leave left because they want it for Disney and can't afford to pay for childcare because they've booked the holiday. Keep up! ;-)

flumpybear · 03/07/2017 22:15

WHAT?! Why is it being closed? ???? No one could make up this!!

Pallisers · 03/07/2017 22:15

these threads are brilliant.

Well played OP and well played OP's husband. But the gold star goes to OP's womiting son.

I haven't met people this bad but close. One woman I had never met before begged me for a lift to school for her dd. Her dd was a couple of years older than mine so started earlier so mine had to leave the house earlier to accommodate her. Like a fool I did. The child never once said thank you leaving the car (even dh commented on it) which is pretty usual here for kids you give lifts to. Her mother only spoke to me once - asking me to make sure we weren't late. And when I twice asked for a ride home for my girls when I was stuck (there was never an offer of a reciprocal agreement) the response was "oh ... well I suppose ... yes I think he could do that".

I've given lifts to loads of kids over the years, sometimes when the other mum/dad can't reciprocate but they are always grateful and offer to do other pick ups if they can. This one, I never got a thank you, never got a thank you note. When the lifts ended the next year because all her children were finally in the same school, she never acknowledged me again. Weirdos.

When something seems too good to be true...

NataliaOsipova · 03/07/2017 22:16

No her husband was also shocked I didn't understand what a few favours mean.

Dear God. In my book, "a few favours" means:

a) Please could you take my child to a party when you are passing the door?
b) May I borrow your roof rack for a week as we are going to visit relatives?
c) Is there any way you could pop in and feed the hamster on Thursday?

It does not mean:
a). Could you pay the mortgage for us for the next three months?
b). Can we come and move into your house while we have some building work done?
c). Can you look after my children for 7 hours a day for 6 weeks unpaid?

....and I'm not even someone who WORKs.....

ProseccoBitch · 03/07/2017 22:16

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 03/07/2017 22:16

What do you mean, MNHQ? Bring it to a close? Why? HAve you actual reason to doubt the OP?

God. Gone to the dogs.

garmsfresh · 03/07/2017 22:16

@flumpybear of course they can! Two words FROZEN CAKE 😂😂

DramaInPyjamas · 03/07/2017 22:16

Why have people reported the thread? So what if it was it was untrue or the truth exaggerated, it was doing nobody any harm

Bluntness100 · 03/07/2017 22:17

To be fair to mumsnet the yes she works in a doctors surgery and the vomiting was timely, but to be fair to the op, it was a great read, so I'd keep it up,,,,😁😁😁

CalmItKermitt · 03/07/2017 22:17

MHNQ do not delete this thread and the others. Who gives a rats arse if it is strictly speaking absolutely accurate (or at all) or not. It is speaking to something mothers have to deal with all the time - the pushy, assuming parent. It isn't exactly bothering anyone - if vomit shoed lady doesn't exist then what harm can be done to her?

Catsize · 03/07/2017 22:19

Shouldn't the OP have a right to reply first? MN democracy etc...

CalmItKermitt · 03/07/2017 22:19

Appleberry - because it's fairly clearly bullshit.
