fam you've really 'grown', it's lovely to see the change from yesterday when your post came across almost resigned to having to go through with an arrangement you never agreed to. Now you have the superpower of 'No' there's no going back, and every time you exercise that superpower it gets easier and stronger. Who cares what the lapper uppers think? You and your real friends know the truth about this outrageously entitled WORKzilla and I suspect a lot of the lapper uppers do too.

ohfourfoxache · 04/07/2017 15:09

What a nasty bitch Shock

No one in their right mind will believe her. And those who do are about to learn hard lessons.

famtastic · 04/07/2017 15:10

I don't think if I backed down dh would be so supportive ha! He was at first more bothered about his morning being intruded on, but then how they were at the door last night he was just fuming at the cheek of it all and in utter disbelief

Her spreading crap - so typical but can be used to your favour.

RortyCrankle · 04/07/2017 15:12

I'm really pleased fam has been reinstated, OP. Naughty MNHQ. As for the pathetic troll hunters - yah boo sucks Grin

MavisFlumpTheFairy · 04/07/2017 15:14

It reminds me of when my two were young and I did night duty every other night in order to look after them (plus calf rearing and farm accounts) so because I was apparently 'available' I could look after an acquaintance's DCs.
She was a SAHM, very high maintenance and married into affluent family (think tenant farmer's wife vv landlord) and 'preferred to have the DCs with someone I know'. Oh, and not for money because it's 'between friends ' but never reciprocated in the 9 years we lived there
Stuff that 😟

Bambamrubblesmum · 04/07/2017 15:16

The naughty side of me would find out who the biggest gossip was amongst the other mums and some how steer the conversation round to showing her the text messages. Then I'd let the jungle drums do their work Grin

moggiek · 04/07/2017 15:18

Good to see you back, fam. She really is a nasty liar, and I'm sure the majority of the clique that she was sounding off to know that.

famtastic · 04/07/2017 15:19

My mutual friend wasn't a bit surprised she knows what she is like, that's why she's been in this situation so long. But she's going to put a stop it it now also. Yes I have some lovely Mum friends at the school who will also be in disbelief.

Had a funny moment with grass inspecting neighbours when I popped to get my bin back. (Bin day) he said that they couldn't help over hear a bit last night and he said he thought I had the hysterical ladies holiday tickets in my house and I was refusing to give her them back. As she kept screaming holidays and I was saying it's our holiday tooGrinI really didn't know what to say and I just laughed

Great to have you back Fam, please don't feel deflated about the situation, for someone who suffered anxiety you took a huge step in saying no to WORKzilla and not letting her walk all over you - be proud of that! Don't give in to her just to try and appease her, if you give an inch, she will take a mile. Fact of the matter is, she had no solid arrangement with you RE Childcare, she just assumed you would do it - that's her problem, not yours, maybe this will teach her take take some bloody responsibility next time, and sort out proper arrangements!

juneau · 04/07/2017 15:22

Grin you gotta love the nosy neighbours inspecting their grass and earwigging over the fence!

Freyanna · 04/07/2017 15:22

If she does tackle you again, which is likely, just say you have made arrangements and your husband does not wish you to do it, as he said when she was on your doorstep.

You need say no more.

mikeyssister · 04/07/2017 15:22

Hmmmm, I feel a novel coming on : "The Hysterical Lady's Holiday Tickets"

SparkleMotions · 04/07/2017 15:23

Not suffered *suffers

CigarsofthePharoahs · 04/07/2017 15:23

Welcome back op.
Hopefully a few other school mums/dads will be munsnetters and will be very much in the loop of her batshit brassneckery.

dustarr73 · 04/07/2017 15:24

As many others...I joined mumsnet for you fam! Please keep us posted! Unfortunately this thread will get full soon though!

TheHouseOfIllRepute · 04/07/2017 16:00

Does anyone remember the truly boring thread about a poster who made cakes that were not as good as usual
She wanted to throw them away but her DH wanted to eat them
Loads of posts. I couldn't have given a flying fuck so didn't join it
The thread was reported by many and mnhq went on and said it was all made up but a well known poster and a 'good egg' so left it up for a bit of fun
Totally hypocritical. OP you are obviously not famous enough

Badweekjustgotworse · 04/07/2017 16:01

Fam retrieve those messages, print them off in A2, laminate and cable tie them to the school gates if she keeps spreading her bullshit version of poor ole me.

Cheguevarahamster · 04/07/2017 16:08

Fam, I am so glad you have been reinstated. Clapping 👏 worked!
Well done for standing up for yourself.
