I'm sorry about that - my iPad seems to be in some distress!

Flumpernickel · 04/07/2017 09:36

#Famgirl here checking in... Wink

Have MNHQ changed their minds?

What is with all these bores picking apart every tiny detail and patting themselves on the back for it? Seriously? So what if it isn't real? Its not harming anyone! Do you pick apart every line of Harry Potter just to prove it's all fantasy?

FWIW I do believe this story, I have met people equally batshit, and one in particular sticks out in my mind. She was a bizarre combination of Patsy from Abfab, and Hyacinth Bucket. She seemed to believe that her only DS was the second coming and all and sundry should bow down in his honour and fall over themselves to provide childcare for him, as she was just Sooooo busy being an amazing mum and community goddess and therefore deserved a break. She also used to help out (take over) local community projects and even wrote a regular column in a local village monthly paper waffling on about how wonderful she was, how busy she was and how nobody else ever helped or cared. It was the most hilarious self congratulatory piece of writing I have ever seen, and I used to joke with friends that if you created her as a character in a story that no one would believe it.

I did ask them to take it off Facebook yesterday, as I was scared it would be seen. Surely I wouldn't of done tat if I was lying? I was going to comment on the Facebook post but people from ds school are on it. I don't need them knowing about my anxiety or my sons autism

Flumpernickel · 04/07/2017 09:38

I have a billion more stories about my Batshit CrayCray loon, but it is too outing.. Wink

Tempting though...

Wtfdoipick · 04/07/2017 09:41

I know you feel deflated by the way the thread has gone Fam but just remember that you got the support you needed to say no and that is what really matters.

ScrumpyBetty · 04/07/2017 09:43

#justiceforfam #ibelieve

Come on MNHQ- I think its real. She has come back to defend herself rather than hiding away.

user1499120902 · 04/07/2017 09:44

Famtastic/User

Cook up a new user name and stick around. I have been around MN a very long time and you just have to take the rough with the smooth when it comes to intellectually understimulated mummies on maternity leave bayiong for blood because nothing ever happens to them, so they think nothing ever happens. Unfortunatly if the Mods get a lot of reports they do just reflex-ban/delete but if you message them and explain, usually they will lookinto what they are actually doing and give it some thought.

Flumpernickel · 04/07/2017 09:45

Please come back and update us if you have anymore crazy encounters fam, this tale is as gripping as Andy and his piano...

It really is time MN told troll hunters to fuck off and suspend them. Some people suck the joy out out of life.

PickAChew · 04/07/2017 09:49

In between all the placemarking and silliness, there's been good advice about being assertive in these threads. I'm pretty quick to report anything possibly fake and manipulative or goady, but really don't see the point with threads like these, whether I believe them or not.

My 5'10 of skinny geekiness has his own MN account. He'd send me to the door to tell people to bugger off, though!

user1499120902 · 04/07/2017 09:49

Thanks I messaged them twice once to ask if it would be removed from Facebook yest morn as I was after private advice, and again last night when I couldn't log on to say I certainly was no troll. I didn't receive a reply to either x

BMW6 · 04/07/2017 09:50

I don't understand why posters who think this is made up are still on here posting!
I am Hmm that you have the need to try and big-up how clever you are.

ScrumpyBetty · 04/07/2017 09:51

Please keep posting fam...even though you've been locked out of your account #boomumsnet!!

rightwhine · 04/07/2017 09:52

I bet it's helped some other mumsnetters grow some balls for future cheeky requests, if nothing else.

Oh bless, I think people thought it was really far fetched, that this could not happen in real life, though I did not report your thread or troll hunt, I thought hmm. But I guess there are crazy people in the world, it would be a boring world if everybody was the same., there would be no need for Mumsnet Smile.

user1499120902 · 04/07/2017 09:56

I didn't find them abusive just guilt tripping and I didn't want to keep looking at them ( which I was) as it was making me anxious and I felt bad. So my husband said just delete them and forget about it all. Made perfect sense at 6am but I didn't know I'd need evidence at that point. I'm sure she will contact me somehow again as that is what she's like.

diddl · 04/07/2017 09:57

Have MNHQ changed their minds then?

I have no doubt that there was some truth in the scenario.

Flumpernickel · 04/07/2017 09:58

In a world of Kim Jong Un, Donald Trump et al... I cannot believe that people find this crazy behaviour so far fetched!

TheFreaksShallInheritTheEarth · 04/07/2017 10:01

Whether a poster actually is found to be a troll or not, troll hunting is still not allowed, Lions
