It's not funny or clever or ironic, it's lazy and annoying.

If you are with me please post a Biscuit in solidarity.

I thought it was a bum hole. Doesn't it look like a bum hole?

The biscuit won't be overthrown, its part of the MN tag line, isn't it?

It is how they differentiate MN from NM - with an arsehole.

YesMadamDeputySpeaker · 03/07/2017 16:34

MN is full of arseholes so it's probably appropriate Grin

Coddiwomple · 03/07/2017 16:37

It gets in my wick when someone cuts and pastes what a pp has posted, then adds

This

I completely disagree, someone made a very good point, why would you just rewrite the exact same thing in your own words?

Time40 · 03/07/2017 16:38

Am i the only one who thought it was a nipple for AGES!!

I thought it was a nipple, too. I wondered what the point of it was, and decided it must have a use on threads about breast-feeding.

YellowCushions · 03/07/2017 16:45

I don't like when people write in their titles they are infuriated, furious, ballistic ect and it's something really petty.
Also LTB! I wonder where they meet these Mr Perfects that give them the idea that if a man disagrees with his wife/ has a hobby/ likes his own mother they are abusive!

islandsandshores · 03/07/2017 17:01

Otoh yellow you get MNers who are insistent you are frothing with rage when you're not.

Op - 'AIBU to be a bit cross? DDs teacher set them an important homework and we spent all weekend on it. I don't really mind but it would have been nice to have some family time on Sunday. Anyway, she didn't collect it in! I won't say anything but I did inwardly sigh a bit.'

MN - YABU. Can't believe you've wound yourself in such a state over this Hmm you need to calm the fuck down, OP ...

WashingMatilda · 03/07/2017 17:06

Stick I thought it was a tit!!

As in, you're acting like a Biscuit

I have been on MN for about 5 years and literally only just learnt what it really means.

Feel like a right Biscuit

This Wink

washinggotdarkedon · 03/07/2017 18:28

You don't have to re-write it or add This . You can just nod in agreement. I don't need to know you merely agree with someone unless you're going to add to the discussion.

SerfTerf · 03/07/2017 18:37

It's endorsement.

My dogs don't care if I'm agreeing with some woman on the internet, but the poster in question might.

This. (Sorry, my keyboard doesn't have upwards arrows ... )

YesMadamDeputySpeaker · 03/07/2017 19:10

As so many people thought the biscuit was a boob, we should reclaim it as such and use it as a Free the Nipple campaign.

Free the Biscuit

mummyofmoomoos · 03/07/2017 19:17

Thought it was a sunflower, so never used it. I like biscuits though. Hobnobs rock

ethelfleda · 03/07/2017 19:23

Am I the only one who hates it when someone writes a snide comment (And has clearly re-read it ten times and congratulated themselves on being so witty) and then puts 'innit' at the end??

MollyHuaCha · 03/07/2017 19:26

One biscuit... should definitely be three. No one eats one biscuit.

HoleySock · 03/07/2017 19:31

Can I be the idiot that admits she's never understood what the biscuit thing was all about....

Blush
ClopySow · 03/07/2017 19:33

I'm in. Where do i sign? I hate the biscuit.

I also intensely dislike the Grin

Can you get rid of that too?

WildIrishRose1 · 03/07/2017 20:06

we'll have nothing left!!!!!!!

CruCru · 03/07/2017 20:20

I don't much like the emoticons (and don't use them). I once said on a thread that people should be able to get their point across without using them and got a bit of a kicking.

SmileEachDay · 03/07/2017 20:22

I don't like the Biscuit but I love the Hmm so I'm not supporting you.

Firm. Hmm

@HoleySock

The Biscuit is all Gordon Brown's fault. I forget the exact details but it's to do with him being unable or unwilling to commit himself to naming a favourite Biscuit during an MN webchat.

Intheknickersoftime · 03/07/2017 21:18

I hate the Hmm face and I am a proper Mumsnetter! I will give a Hmm face to anyone who says otherwise! When I first posted on here I posted on innocuous Aibu thread about nothing important and I got a snide reply and a Hmm face and I just felt like going Hmm back and throwing copious Biscuit at this poster. So the Hmm face can go and Hmm to anyone who thinks otherwise! It's childish!

Onhold · 03/07/2017 21:23

It's not childish. Its the face of MN and if you don't get that then you deserve all the Hmm

Intheknickersoftime · 03/07/2017 21:51

Well I think it is,but feel free to pull that face at me if it makes you feel better.
