I know exactly what It is like to have a poorly child same as hundreds more parents in the uk.
Set aside my belief that I believe that bradley has very little dignity and both him and charlie are now used as some weird sort of click bait.

The supporters I do not understand it ?

We love you, we are heart broken and we will miss you.

Now I get empathy but this is not empathy this is media posts just gone crazy to write the most heart breaking post they can.
I wish neither of these children would have to lose their life and can undetstand the parents pain just like the rest of the terminally ill children in this country.

You can feel sad that these things happen but this just seems weird and could not imagine allowing a nation of people watching my child pass away.

I mean how many of them 2 years from now will wake up on the morning of their anniversary and automatically remember them ?

It's wild isn't it? Even on that one with the American father with the six year old with a similar (not the same) condition, DM commenters were asking about th quality of life he has and questioning if that's what they would want for themselves or their children.

GriefLeavesItsMark · 05/07/2017 01:13

I've just had a look at the Charlie's army Facebook page. Sweet suffering Jesus! Words (almost) fail me. GOSH accused of murder, threatened with lawsuits, a list of reasons for Charlie being curable including, bizzarely 'he has a diet'. It was like visiting Planet Stupid, and no, I didn't want to stay.

Lonelymummyof1 · 05/07/2017 01:19

Bloody ridiculous i have said before - it is utter heartbreaking to watch your child suffer and feel like there is nothing you can do to save them.

I have always and I mean always promised that of she lost her quality of life and the hope was gone I would accept it for her x

It's not a good day when I start to agree with the comments on a daily mail article.

It's an even worse day when I agree with Jan moir - this in today's daily mail (it's a "donotlink" link so I don't have to put a daily mail link and they don't benefit from all the clicks!)

eternalopt she says it far better than I ever could. That poor child should have been allowed to die with dignity, as thousands have before him. It isn't about him any more. He died a long time ago.

Lonelymummyof1 · 05/07/2017 04:14

I finally found the words at 4 am that I have been trying to find.................

Choices we make as parents are sometimes the hardest.
I have struggled with guilt and not knowing what to do which has been far the hardest hurdle I have overcome.
A good parent will always want whats right for their child but sometimes the thought of the heartbreak misguides you.
You want to so badly to hold your child forever, to never live a day without them. To wake up to them every morning and to kiss them goodnight every evening.
Every good parent deserves that.
Sometimes our feelings take over reality, reality that sometimes what we want is not always whats best for them, not because we are bad people or parents but because love somehow makes you hate the fact you can sometimes not make everything ok.
When you are faced with decisions like this you know that no matter what you choose you will never know whether it was right or wrong.
You will live with that decision for the rest of your life.
Sometimes the answer maybe kinder for them than it is to you, sometimes you block out the reality, the words of people that are around you.
You look for someone to blame.
Saying goodbye to someone you love will always be the hardest thing but...it is harder for you than it is them.

X

Reports this morning of Italian foreign minister to have talks with Boris Johnson to encourage him to intervene and allow Charlie to travel?

When will this madness end? It's making a total mockery of our justice system. That poor baby Sad

MommaGee · 05/07/2017 08:50

TM needs to make a statement. The medical intervention of Charlie Garden has gone through the highest courts of the land. He has had the expertise of some of the best doctors and nurses in the world for 8 months. The decision made was not made lightly and it is fully supported by the Government. Our thoughts and hearts are with his parents, family and supporters.

Venusflytwat · 05/07/2017 09:00

I really hope someone at GOSH does the right thing by that baby today 😢

Redglitter · 05/07/2017 09:04

Totally agree. The longer this is dragged out the worse this situation is getting. Its giving people false hope and encouraging the baying CA mob. They've got the ruling in their favour time to let him go.

TalkinPeece · 05/07/2017 09:04

TM needs to do absolutely nothing at all about something frankly so trivial at a national level.
The Charlie Gard case is all under the control of the courts.
I was wondering about the delays, but if the "stay" till the 10th is true then it all makes sense.

Birdsbeesandtrees · 05/07/2017 09:06

What's the stay until the 10th ?

MommaGee · 05/07/2017 09:09

I think with so much international interest she can't just ignore it and hope it all goes away. A sinoke statement released to the press stating that they will not interfere with the legal decision.

Where have the funds come from for the parents legal fees?

MommaGee · 05/07/2017 09:25

""Fortunately for the parents, they found a legal team through the solicitors Bindmans, who were prepared to work for free""

SilverLining17 · 05/07/2017 09:39

Do you know if it wasn't completely the wrong thing for Charlie I'd say 'you know what? Let them take him. See how far they get. Let them learn that the Drs were right.'

I have completely lost any respect for charlie's parents. That report states he is suffering significantly. Why do they think there is some big conspiracy around their child? I suppose fighting the courts and the hospital is easier than having no one to be angry at but the behaviour of the Charlie's army people is insane. We need to get William and Kate on board? We need to get Corbyn on board? Wtf?! Are these highly trained medical people? How are they going to help.
It alarms me how thick a lot of people are.

JaneEyre70 · 05/07/2017 09:42

I think the date in that article is more about giving the EctHR time to make a decision within a set time frame, rather than a final date. But it's heartbreaking that they say they all felt that was going against Charlie's best interests Sad.

Apparently the parents have had lawyers acting pro bono on this, but there's no mention of what it has cost GOSH or the public........... this media circus is so desperately upsetting today, but I think public opinion is now turning judging from the comments on Jan Moir's article in the DM today. Most agree that it's time to let Charlie go in peace.

Doubledottvremote · 05/07/2017 09:45

That daily mail article is spot on.

Ellie56 · 05/07/2017 10:06

I do not see how Theresa May can overturn the decision of the ECHR. If she could what was the point of the Leave campaign last year about "taking back control"?

Poor Charlie.

Alittlepotofrosie · 05/07/2017 10:11

There's no way on this earth theresa May should get involved. It's utterly immoral to politicise this which is exactly what trump is doing.

Oogle · 05/07/2017 10:16

Charlie's Army are now commenting on This Mornings facebook page and are refusing to accept he could be in pain as he isn't on painkillers and he doesn't even have brain damage - all scans are normal.

It is absolutely amazing how much they know of his current condition despite none of them being privvy to Charlie's medical records.
