maps are also useful

cozietoesie · 01/07/2017 14:53

Where is Flynn, by the way?

lionheart · 01/07/2017 15:02

I've always been interested in that question, cozie.

Since you have clearly mastered skill with spelling, Across, I think we should read any auto-corrects as a magical form of deep code. Wink

Lweji · 01/07/2017 15:12

He really can't help it.

@CNN Trump resumes his attacks on cable news hosts, calling Joe Scarborough "crazy" and Mika Brzezinski "dumb as a rock" t.co/ai0ELunU9k t.co/G2kBc37kuN

cozietoesie · 01/07/2017 15:20

Gawd. Please don't ask me to analyse Across's typos on top of everything else! Grin

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 01/07/2017 15:23

I don't know if it's that he can't help it. I think it's likely he's never had to reign it in, or suffer any detrimental consequences for his behaviour his whole life (he's made president ffs!) so I'd imagine he's doesn't see the point of stopping acting like a petulant toddler because it's always worked.

It's breathtaking that people think it's refreshing and anti-establishment for not adhering to even the most minimal semblance of decency. I don't know where we go from here.

lionheart · 01/07/2017 15:25

Maybe raging about this:

cozietoesie · 01/07/2017 15:25

We keep going. Smile

BoreOfWhabylon · 01/07/2017 15:25

In the interest of balance and fairness, in response to the accusation that we on these threads are anti-Trump, I offer this

PS (off-topic) Lweji - could you possibly post that human evolution link please?

FBI Employees Wear 'Comey Is My Homey' Shirts To Family Day

The show of support appears to challenge Trump's claim of an unpopular former director.

cozietoesie · 01/07/2017 15:30

Ah. Senator Comey.

cozietoesie · 01/07/2017 15:30

Oops. Grin

MrsT2007 · 01/07/2017 15:35

Placemark here too. Hoping as soon as its wheels up from Air Force one that that bigly sh*t hits the fan

cozietoesie · 01/07/2017 15:48

I thought that having his wife and child at the WH was expected to calm him down. Smile

Molly McKew @MollyMcKew
Overall highlights of Russian FM Lavrov's eye-popping speech yesterday in below thread (link to full speech) /1 t.co/E18KmMqHKE?amp=1
Russia takes credit for ending Cold War, rebuilding Europe security/prosperity (whatevs); says West bungled it, created new instability. /2
Kremlin says values of the West created expansion of terrorism (you'll note echoes of Trump speeches here, on purpose) /3
This pretty much explains exactly what the Kremlin is doing to the rest of us. Kremlin always says what it does clearly /5 [think she meant 4]
Admits pushing for new world order to undermine American power (couched in supposed democratic principles that Kremlin does not believe) /5
This could also be a paragraph from a Trump campaign speech. But instead it's Kremlin admitting they will do anything to take apart NATO /6
"All against all" my friends. Don't believe this drivel of rainbows and unicorns for all. /7
Admits Kissinger is acting as some kind of back channel. /8
Amazing: Lavrov admits Russia is a combatant in Eastern Ukraine, despite years of pretending otherwise. This is huge /9
Doubles down, admits they invaded Ukraine, and don't regret it. Nazis Nazis everywhere, nor any drop to drink... /11 [theres no 10]
In this bizarre story -- we should all remember Russia is the liar with the shitty cards, but we keep thinking they have a winning hand /12
Brilliantly re-defines seeing the Russian threat as some sort of oppressive ideology "of the minority" /13
Lavrov also went on and on about needing better relations with US Congress. Theme this week. Beware. /14
Also, throughout speech, what is clear is Kremlin's version of "democracy" has the state as the base unit, not individuals. /15

[It won't let me upload all the images so to match the comments with the relevant bits of the speech, you can look here: mobile.twitter.com/MollyMcKew/status/881158874874687488 ]

cozietoesie · 01/07/2017 17:06

Not a chance.

BerylStreep · 01/07/2017 17:08

Hello all. Have missed the last couple of threads. Have I missed anything? Who is GF? What's the deal with being a middle aged woman? Should we not be?

lionheart · 01/07/2017 17:11

We may not be able to help it or avoid it. Smile

MsHooliesCardigan · 01/07/2017 17:27

I think we should organise some kind of middle aged woman Pride event.
