To be mildly hurt that I've either been mistaken for another poster or do be considered such a tool I don't even have to post on a thread to piss people off

I was looking for an older thread so did a vanity search with a couple of key words and found my name mentioned on a thread I hadn't even posted on!Shock

Being large of ego I had a nosey. And they were saying I was overly dramatic (which is true but not the point) and a bit off and told to get help.

I never even posted on the bloody thread. I can't find anyone with a similar name to me on there Confused

My character has been impuned, maligned etc etc

I'm actually upsetting people even when I'm not on bloody Mumsnet. Do I piss you all of that much?

God I'm the worst mum in the world. Youngest at nursery, just me and the 4 year old.

So what do I do? Fall asleep on the bloody sofa.

Woke up and she was quite happy with turning on Netflix and watching what she wanted..

Oops Blush

And I'm definitely sober...though heavily medicated

EmpressOfTheSpartacusOceans · 29/06/2017 17:16

A hamster I met on the way to work one morning.

Medicated Soubriquet? Hope you're feeling ok.

Getting there. My back went into spasms last week which resulted in a hospital run to try and get the pain under control. Which they couldn't but calmed it down slightly

Was still having pain and unable to walk far until yesterday when I was finally given some different medication and I feel like a new woman!!

Though it can cause drowsiness, as I found out Grin

Thank you though x

Photos take longer than the rest of the post to upload, I think - people often think their attachment hasn't worked. I started a thread in site stuff to suggest they put in a warning or something.

PacificDogwod · 29/06/2017 17:30

My God, is that a genetically modified hamster?! Shock
You were lucky it is friendly...

Soubriquet, all the best meds are sedating... Grin

Soubriquet · 29/06/2017 17:39

I've had morphine and I've taken tramadol daily for 6 months and never been drowsy.

Two of these and I'm out! And it's not even a painkiller! It's a nerve relaxer. But I'm not complaining. Rather be tired than in pain. Wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy

EmpressOfTheSpartacusOceans · 29/06/2017 17:43

Soubriquet Brew

Grin

I met it by the Oxo Tower on the South Bank. Which, to be fair, is the most likely place to meet a giant hamster if you're going to meet one anywhere.

It was an advertising stunt for something or other and when I left it, it was stuck in a narrow bit & trying to work out how to do a three-point turn.

I love my commute.

Soubriquet · 29/06/2017 17:45

Oooo stroking a hamster up the oxo tower. Now that sounds dirty fun Grin

PacificDogwod · 29/06/2017 17:49

Oooo stroking a hamster up the oxo tower.

Those drugs are definitely working! Grin

I have very fond memories of one Christmas Day when SiL gave me 2 Cocodamol for a toothache which worked a treat. I then had 2 glasses of wine with Christmas Dinner a few hours later and, well, I cannot remember much about the rest of the evening other than lying on my bed with a big grin on my face and giggling... Blush I am such a lightweight.

Wolfiefan · 29/06/2017 17:50

@PacificDogwod
How rude! ok I was somewhat drunk last night and I may again before long!
Do you know me in RL? Scary! Grin

Soubriquet · 29/06/2017 18:08

Grin sounds hilarious pacific

My dh used to be a lightweight with tramadol until he needed it after a car accident and had to take quite a bit

He used to sit in a chair giggling at everything. Used to crack me up

UrsulaPandress · 29/06/2017 18:16

John Thomas the Under Gardener was most helpful in recovering me from the Ha Ha. I have a collected a delightful nosegay on our walk around the grounds.

Anyone care to smell it?

PacificDogwod · 29/06/2017 18:22

Lovely!

I feel 'nosegay' is a sorely underused word.

Soubriquet · 29/06/2017 18:34

I have never heard of that phrase

Very poetic

EmpressOfTheSpartacusOceans · 29/06/2017 18:35

How very charming.

MaQueen · 29/06/2017 18:59

Wotcha MaryZ luffly to see you back Smile

As for being name-checked on threads you aint even on ...meh, welcome to my world [does a gallic shrug]]

TiggyD · 29/06/2017 19:27

We are all women it's in our nature to bitch and bring each other day shame really! Hmm

HoneyDragon · 29/06/2017 19:28

It's not about being named checked on threads. That's fine. I get name checked which is understandable as I am incredibly awesome.

This was not a name check this was a heinious case of mistaken identity.....I would never ever ever post on a thread where someone was in distress and post shit at them Sad

PacificDogwod · 29/06/2017 19:32

Aw, HD, those who know you know that

You bring light and sunshine to any distressed soul Cake

TiggyD, we are all hoping that that sentence was posted with deep irony and sarcasm

Soubriquet · 29/06/2017 19:34

Exactly

You see a HD thread you just know you're going to laugh

Shame someone got mistaken identity

PacificDogwod · 29/06/2017 19:36

I find myself posting less and less on MN - partially because I am sloooooowly coming out of the tiny children insanity stage of my life, but partially because there is so much... I dunno, stuff that is meh and stuff that is just weird and way outside my experience (I just cannot get worked up about wedding etiquette for instance) AND I am getting tired of my own voice Blush

Still up for shooting the breeze though Wine

HoneyDragon · 29/06/2017 19:43

Ah ha weddings! I knew I needed to start a thread on weddings.
