To be a little bit in love with Ed Sheeran

Just watching his Glastonbury set - he seems so cool! His music is great, and he just seems very humble.

Mainly in love in an "ah he seems like a really nice boy, I want to pinch his cheeks" kind of way", I'm - ahem - a few years older than him Blush

Ooh has it finally finished?

5LiveSportsExtra · 25/06/2017 23:20

He drives at 90 mph, not cool.

5LiveSportsExtra · 25/06/2017 23:21

Does someone want Duran Duran to headline Glastonbury Shock

fj3568 · 25/06/2017 23:22

Love him
Love Galway girl and Nancy Mulligan

MaidOfStars · 25/06/2017 23:23

He's a coffee table singer-singwriter who makes stuff you buy your Mum for Christmas.

This is not a serious conversation. It takes balls to get up on a stage and sing your tunes?

Firenight · 25/06/2017 23:25

I'm far from a music snob and like some of his songs but just don't think it's a Sunday night headline set. Clearly others think otherwise though; it would be a boring world if we all liked the same things.

BoysofMelody · 25/06/2017 23:32

It's nothing to do with snobbery. It's just taste.

Amen to that. I'm not a musical snob and love genuinely great pop music of which Nile Rodgers is a genuine purveyor) but Ed Sheerin is just fucking elevator music.

pawpatrol123 · 25/06/2017 23:36

I love his music. Enjoyed watching him tonight.

kmc1111 · 25/06/2017 23:41

His songs are so dull. And sexist.

BoysofMelody · 25/06/2017 23:43

His songs are so dull. And sexist.

Yes, i don't get the whole, aw he's so lovely, his songs make him seem like a creepy little fucker.

Jellykat · 25/06/2017 23:44

The word bland sprung to mind, not a headliner imo..

PengiQuin · 25/06/2017 23:48

Which ones?

YANBU, OP. I saw him 6 years ago, and loved him ever since. Not only does he make amazing songs, rumour has it he's the nicest man in show business. I can believe that. Plus, he's done more for grime music that any pop star, ever. Just had to watch stormzy's performance to see that. Though I doubt MN is stormzy's demographic either Grin

AwaywiththePixies27 · 25/06/2017 23:57

he looks like a ginger garden gnome.

To the tune is around £60m+ worth.

I'm sure he'll get over it whilst drying his tears on a £50 note just because he can.

AwaywiththePixies27 · 25/06/2017 23:58

*of not is.

DonaldStott · 26/06/2017 00:04

Boring and sexist. That shape of you song makes me feel ill.

nina2b · 26/06/2017 00:05

He seems sweet. Love love love "Evergreen".

nina2b · 26/06/2017 00:10

As for the person who made the ginger garden gnome comment - were you practising your alliteration?

I would love to see a pic of you, just for judging purposes, you understand.... Hmm

AwaywiththePixies27 · 26/06/2017 00:12

I'm always a little bit bemused at people who seem way overinvested in people they don't like. If only they could have just changed channels. Confused

I irrationally dislike Take That so I change over whenever they're on.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 26/06/2017 00:13

I had not knowingly heard anything by him. I've just listened to 3 YouTube tracks all of which sounded exactly the same and left me bored at around the 2 minute mark. One was Galway Girl. It sounds like a Mangers' cider advert soundtrack.

CiderwithBuda · 26/06/2017 00:15

I was so disappointed! Normally love his stuff - might be related- Nancy Mulligan rings a bell.

But was disappointed tonght.

Coldplay were amazing last year. Still gives me goosebumps.

avamiah · 26/06/2017 00:22

My 7 year old loves his songs, and she knows all the words, but not what they mean .😬.
I would love to see him in concert.

BoysofMelody · 26/06/2017 00:27

Axis? Whichever one is a kiss and tell about his relationship with Ellie Golding - another boring/bland nonentity and whichever one goes on about 'Don't call me baby if you don't mean it'

Ruby2202 · 26/06/2017 00:28

Boy- it's called don't.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 26/06/2017 00:34

I don't understand this " music for your mum" point. The last music I bought for my mother before she died was Shostakovich 24 Preludes and Fugues. The last music my son bought me was a second hand vinyl copy of Led Zeppelin II and cds by Mountain Man and Bellowhead.

I would never have bought anything as blandly middle of the road(which from the 3 tracks I've just listened to he seems to be) for my mother , nor would my son for me.
