Another poster on the thread suggested it was because they might have to send an ambulance for me and their would be a bunfight over whether I really needed to be in an ambulance.

In the end, I decided to wait until morning and take the bus to the hospital, but 111 said no, they wanted me in asap and to be sure I would get there safely, so they arranged transport for me.

Must have been a disappointment for the popcorners....

A pp stated they had no time for parking threads. I'm the same with anything involving in-laws or weddings. Although come to think of it, most wedding threads are to do with in-laws in some shape or form.

Highalert don't forget the added vitriol of wasting precious NHS resources and them being the sole reason the NHS is on it's knees. Funny how they all evaporate and don't offer one word of an apology when the OP comes back and says it was something deserving of immediate attention.

Smile there was a cracking wedding thread that got pulled a few weeks back. It had everything you could want - bastarding in-laws, family rivalry, personality disorders being diagnosed left, right and centre, a cheating best man who knocked up someone else, and some of the worst personal attacks I've ever seen on MN.
I was a bit reading it and I'm not usually a person.

Look, I was policing up a racist housekeeper thread and it was all going nicely and then overnight crowd let me down and a bun fight ensued and it went poof. And I totally missed the bunfight never knew why.
