So last night my best mate from America came over to visit (her husband is American so she moved there). We all went out on the town with the girls unfortunately i had a little way too much to drink and on my way home to my flat i stopped to pee in the corner of our car park (it's hidden by some trees) wish i hadn't but i made a bad decision because i'd been drinking and i didn't think i was gonna make it home, however seems some of my neighbours heard (they're not part of the flats or live on the property, they just back onto it) and this afternoon they were complaining loudly so i could hear, so am i being irrational or are they making a big deal? Considering they're youngsters that hold parties that keep our residents up a lot of the time, i think it's hypocritical and it's the first and only time I've done it IMO

p.s. bring on the opinions i don't mind...

That is absolutely vile. YABVVVU. I would be ashamed to have a neighbour like you.

acornsandnuts · 18/06/2017 21:24

It's not great but men seem to piss wherever they like so meh. Don't make a habit of it.

Lochan · 18/06/2017 21:25

Starflame · 18/06/2017 21:27

Oh learn and let live or whatever they say! You had fun and created good memories so that's all that matters. Too many people getting offended so easily these days Hmm

TheMysteriousJackelope · 18/06/2017 21:28

They are making a big deal about it to deflect attention from their own shortcomings.

When hauled up by their landlord in 2029 for a decade's worth of noise, litter, and guest defecation in the hallways they will still say 'Yes, but user wee'd in the car park in 2017'.

youarenotkiddingme · 18/06/2017 21:31

Can't get my knickers in a twist about an alfresco wee.

If it wasn't your piss there then some cat dog or fox piss would be there instead!

DerelictWreck · 18/06/2017 21:33

i know it's not lady-like What it's got to do with being female? Hmm Peeing outside on property is grim, end of.

Floggingmolly · 18/06/2017 21:40

Seriously, Star? All that matters is that op had fun?

PeanutButterBunny · 18/06/2017 21:40

Yuck. And is it your property when its a car park? I'm sure the pensioners are disgusted at your behavior as well. How chavvy and not remotely funny!

user1492728351 · 18/06/2017 21:45

@acornsandnuts I know men do it ALL the time, but i do it once and it's a big deal, ahh the tribulations of being a woman.. ;-)

@Starflame Thank you, it was an amazing night and people have been messaging me all day saying how fun it was, my friend from America is also a stay at home mum so doesn't get to go out as much as she'd like so it was kind of a special occasion and treat for her, stupid neighbours! lol

@TheMysteriousJackelope I know and the irony is i'm literally the only one in this block trying to keep the peace between the pensioners and the stupid student neighbours getting reported, hmm not sure if i'm gonna do that anymore

Yes all that matters is she had fun Floggingmolly. There are worse things happening on the streets right now. Nobody died from her pissing on her OWN property Confused

Starflame · 18/06/2017 21:47

OP glad you enjoyed it. Live a life to remember!! GrinGrin

Sparklingbrook · 18/06/2017 21:52

Ewww.

DJBaggySmalls · 18/06/2017 21:53

Sometimes people are caught short, then what are they supposed to do? I cant get worked up about it.

PutThatPomBearBack · 18/06/2017 21:54

OP where is your friend from?

WarriorsDance · 18/06/2017 21:54

I was at a festival the other weekend and a woman squatted down and had a pee right next to the sound engineer's booth. Two of her friends squatted down to provide a 'human shield' but obviously couldn't hide what was going on. She peed on the metal walkway rather than the ground so it sat there in a puddle, slowly creeping its way towards the sound booth Shock

@Starflame Thank you again and i'll try! haha

Ach OP, I'll tell you an anecdote to cheer you up..my teacher friend went on a big end of year night out with colleagues, one of whom she really fancied. She got very drunk, remembers virtually passing out in the loos and coming back into the pub in a bit of a state...evening ends, they all go home. When next in work she says to fanciable colleague "I hope I didn't make a big fool of myself in the pub" To which he replies "no, but we were all a bit taken aback when once we got out onto the street you pulled your pants down and wee'd in the road".

She was his head of department at the time. Grin

I'd much rather my neighbour wee'd in the carpark than had an all night party.

Crashbangwhatausername · 18/06/2017 22:01

Meh. It's a bit of wee. They're being silly, maybe they're trying to make a point that you're noisy occasionally too, they're probably trying to make themselves feel better

ThePinkOcelot · 18/06/2017 22:03

One of DHs friends got arrested for peeing in public after a night out.
It's pretty grim, but when you've got to go........

pickledonionspaceraider · 18/06/2017 22:07

No its not a big deal IMO, I wouldn't judge someone for having a wee in the street.

I don't think what you did is so totally awful. As others have said, worse things...

But I suspect they've heard complaining about their parties and behaviour and are now think - Hey, at least we don't pee in public. I don't think it's hypocritical of them so much as either ignorant (of the difference between a one of incident and ongoing ones) or petty (as they are being loud to make a point in a way that will obviously antagonize and won't change anything for the better). But if they're students, they're young and noisy or not, you can have worse neighbours than that too, at least these ones are likely to move on a year or three.

winglesspegasus · 18/06/2017 22:17

every male on the planet has pissed on the pavement.
JANISton is right .
once long ago a bunch of us were walking home and young man had to go.we waited while he walked up to a building rested his hand on the brickwork and did his business.
only problem was it was the side wall of a very fancy resturaunt and the copper panel he was standing in front of was a oneway window.
the folks on the other side of the glass were a bit upset.
owner of eatery came out blue in the face and chased us off.

umm what do you all do when you go camping???

pickledonionspaceraider · 18/06/2017 22:17

I have been known to have a drunken wee in the street once or twice in the past

and anyone that finds it that shocking, I probably wouldn't be friends with anyway so wouldn't be bothered by their opinion

Life is for living, not for negatively judging folk for something so minor
