...to soak my feet in the washing up bowl

Obviously, the washing up would not be in there at the time. I could do with a nice d -stressing foot soak, but the only bowl I own is the washing up bowl. Should I?

I too have never understood the why of a washing up bowl - but given you do have a washing up bowl and you use it for washing up, OP, yes it does seem pretty gross to be soaking your feet in it.

MissBax · 16/06/2017 18:51

I always do this! It's not like OP is asking if she can take a shit in it 😂

BandeauSally · 16/06/2017 18:51

Maybe they have very grubby feet?

Surely anyone washing their feet is doing it because they are grubby.

MissBax · 16/06/2017 18:52

OP said soak, not wash.

BandeauSally · 16/06/2017 18:53

In that case I'm sure they're spotless Grin

Chunkymonkey123 · 16/06/2017 18:55

If you think of the raw meat etc that you put in your fridge then your feet are far more hygienic!

I wash the dog in my sink though which people probably think is gross.

TipTop333 · 16/06/2017 18:56

I'd do it and probably would only give it a rinse after. It's my feet, not my arse.

Decaffstilltastesweird · 16/06/2017 18:57

I do this and just put the bowl in the dishwasher at a high setting to clean it. If you're really worried then maybe bleach it or put boiling water in it to clean it?

OttilieKnackered · 16/06/2017 18:59

God some people on here are fucking ridiculous. They're only feet. Bits of old food are far mankier. I assume you haven't been wading in dog shit, OP?

ThanksMsMay · 16/06/2017 18:59

Bleach after. It's fine.

my mother always gave us the cooking pots to Puke in Hmm

ThanksMsMay · 16/06/2017 19:01

The weird thing is op that if you had asked about putting poo covered wellies in the dishwasher MN would be fine with it Confused

AccidentalMagic · 16/06/2017 19:04

I wouldn't.

I do however have a £ shop washing up bowl that was purchased for the sole purpose of soaking my feet. Does a good job too!

Mexxi · 16/06/2017 19:12

No wading through shit, I can assure you. I'm going to wait for Corrie, then put my trotters in the washing up bowl and enjoy Grin

OP posts:
toffeeboffin · 16/06/2017 19:13

Yes, why not.

toffeeboffin · 16/06/2017 19:13

Trotters Grin

fantasmasgoria1 · 16/06/2017 19:14

Do it then bleach the bowl after! Many times have I done this!

hollyisalovelyname · 16/06/2017 19:14

Ofgs, of course soak your feet in the bowl.
The posters turning their noses up probably have snogged and/ or slept with strangers., shared body fluids etc. Grin

BandeauSally · 16/06/2017 19:14

It's threads like this that remind me why I don't like eating outside of home.

kaytee87 · 16/06/2017 19:16

I did last summer when heavily pregnant but we have a dishwasher so it doesn't really get used for washing up.

notknownatthisaddress · 16/06/2017 19:16

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!! Shock

That's fucking gross!

Why would you DO that? Buy a separate bowl FFS.

BustopherJones · 16/06/2017 19:17

To everyone who's grossed out by this... do you wash your hands after having a bath? Your feet were in there too, and your bum!

kaytee87 · 16/06/2017 19:17

People's hands are usually more germy than their feet tbh

notknownatthisaddress · 16/06/2017 19:18

Gotta love the people mocking people who don't approve of it!

Very defensive. Wink

lavenderhue · 16/06/2017 19:21

I used to sometimes wash my babies in either the sink or the washing up bowl as many did. I suppose some would consider that gross too.

BandeauSally · 16/06/2017 19:36

No, I have a shower after having a bath.
